Now the nationals are near, the girls make the final preparations.
From the looks of it, it seems that Mari still doesn’t have enough perspective students with only one month to go. With that, they really need to win nationals to even stand a chance of saving the school. Of course, this is a difficult task considering that Aqours didn’t pass the nationals last time.
While a site predicts that Aqours can stand a chance, the numbers are still stacked against them. The voting is now depending on the people at the event and over the internet. Considering that Uranohoshi doesn’t have many students, passing nationals might be a difficult feat to overcome.

During the evening, it seems that Kanan does not want to do the routines that she, Dia and Mari came up. She is afraid of what happened to Mari during their first attempt forming an idol group. Dia and Mari thinks that things are different this time. Of course, Kanan throws the notebook into the water. She did it so nobody will hurt themselves trying to do it. It’s understandable since they gotten so far and don’t want to blow it.
Of course, Mari doesn’t agree and jumps in to the water to save the notebook. Dia pulls her out of the water to safety. It’s obvious that they want to save the memories and make whatever in the notebook become a reality.

The rest of the episode focuses on Chika practicing the moves that Mari, Dia and Kanan came up with. She decides to go with it despite the risks. With that, we see Chika falling many times. It seems as if no matter how many times she tried, she can’t master it. Of course, she has to master it two days before nationals. Otherwise, she can’t do it.

In the end, You and Riko reminds Chika that she is the one that got Aqours where they are now. After encouragement from everyone, she manages to do it, even at the performance at nationals. With that, the girls believe that they passed the nationals. We’ll find out soon enough if they did or not. Aside from that, it’s nice to see Riko imitating Yoshiko.

This was a great episode. Seeing Chika fighting the good fight to contribute something of great value to Aqours, despite not realizing she already had long ago, was awesome and the payoff during the Miracle Wave performance was spectacular.
Good to see Kanan’s worries somewhat put to rest.
#WelcomeToHellZone was hilarious.
I agree. After all, while the routines that Kanan, Mari and Dia came up is difficult and dangerous, it’s never impossible. Of course, the effort pays of in the end.
