It seems that Chika has a dream, but it seems harder than it looks.
I have to admit that I am feeling déjà vu when I was watching the first episode of Love Live Sunshine. This episode plays out similarly to the first episode from the predecessor. The big difference is that Chika wants to start her become a school idol because she doesn’t want to stay normal forever. She got the idea to create one after being inspired by Muse’s performance. Yep, it’s expected since Honoka was inspired by A-RISE, who started Muse.
As for the episode itself, it pretty much serves as an introduction for the potential members of Aquors. Of course, it seems that Dia, the student council president will not approve the club under any circumstances. I am very suspicious of that since she will eventually change her mind some way or another. Aside from a few similarities in the cast, the potential member’s personalities are different, except for Ruby maybe. Yohane feels very similar to Rika given that she is a Chuunibyou.
As a whole, the episode is basically what I expected. It’s mostly serves as an introductory episode with most of the cast being shown. But aside from that, I can’t wait to see how the girls develop beyond their archetypes.
Still, It’s already obvious that Chika wants to become an idol instead of being just a normal girl. Of course, she will soon realize that it will take a lot of work. Is she up to the challenge? Most likely, but they need to get someone to write the music. Will she be able to recruit Riko? We’ll see next time.
Like Iono-Sama has taught potential lesbians to create their own yuri harems so has Rikka taught Ranko, who later taught Yohane the ways of Chuunibyou.
Dia is love.
Looking forward to more antics, character moments and shipping material…oh and I suppose songs too.
It looks like Chika has a hill to climb, but I wonder how she will pull it off. Aside from that, I looking forward to the character development and hopefully they will be enjoyable in their own way. I don’t care too much about the music though.
