Charlotte – Episode 5 – Camping Excursions to Find a Flying Man

August 2, 2015 by Chikorita157 4 Comments
Sadly, Nao did not have a good day.
Sadly, Nao didn’t have a good day.

Yep, it’s another episodic episode. This time, the student council goes camping to search for a teenaged boy who can fly.

I have to admit that this episode was slightly more enjoyable compared to the last episode since there are some really funny moments such as Yusa reverting her personality when she sees food, Yuu almost accidentally falling into a hole and Misa going crazy while playing a video game before bed. Of course, the face off against the teenager who can fly was also hilarious as Nao managed to blow his cover quite perfectly. They defeated him quickly after Yuu took control of him. Even so, it was funny that nobody ate the vegetables except Yuu, but took the meat instead.

It seems that nobody cares about the vegetables that Yuu picked.
It seems that nobody cares about the vegetables that Yuu picked.

Although this episode is yet another “let’s focus on someone who have supernatural powers,” there are some hints on what to come. First off, a gang of girls decided to beat her up for some reason at the beginning of the episode. While I felt sorry for Nao, it makes me wonder why these girls have a grudge against her to the point where they want to beat her up. Is it because they are jealous of her or something? Not only that, Yusa shared some thoughts about her sister. With that, I can’t help to think about what happened to her since she also had supernatural powers before passing away. Lastly, who is the man Yuu sees in his dreams while listening to a certain song? I guess we’ll find out soon enough as the show finally heads to its climax.

Misa has mad gaming skills.

Aside from that, it seems that Ayumi finally ran out of the secret pizza sauce and now her cooking is suddenly good. Yep, it’s a sigh of relief now that he doesn’t have to eat food with sauce that resembles Akiko’s infamous jam, for now at least. While I find it funny that the security guard stopped her, it makes me wonder if it’s because of her cold or something far more serious. Hopefully her sickness is nothing too serious or otherwise the family secret pizza sauce will be lost forever and nobody wants that.

At last, no more Ayumi's pizza sauce, for now.

I wonder why people dislike Yusa for her “false idol” persona…well not that it bothers me. Misa is also good.

I actually want to try the pizza sauce Ayumi makes. She’s too cute of a little sister to not eat her special sauce…!

    Now drama is on way…!?

I wonder why too. Maybe she is generic or something? Who knows, but still, I agree that Misa is quite amusing.

As always, Ayumi pizza sauce will always be precious, no matter how bad it taste since she is adorable after all. :p

I would understand if she has an actually false idol persona that covers a different persona, but here she’s plain genuine. Favorite character of the season.
Now, if only Misa was a seperate character, it would be much enjoyable. As much as having her being an “alt” persona to Yusa…it feels like secondary character in the same body of your Waifu…you get what I mean? T>T

Your taste bud only fools you into thinking that something is “bad”. That’s why your body makes food bitter when you are sick, rejecting what the body believes is “not good for your system” (if you want to look at it in that way). Also, as long as the pizza sauce is not some kind of mosaic purple glob that puts you in the hospital for 5 days, I would graciously accept it for having someone cook for me (especially the sweet lil’ sister Ayumi!!!)!!
