It took nearly four years, but it’s finally back! Apparently Aoi did not change at all.
Note: The first and second episode of this show will be covered this and next week. Future episodes impressions will be done on a weekly basis.
While not much happens in this episode, it’s nice to see the whole cast again in the first half. As you would expect from the last season: Aoi is still breaking dishes, Jun messing with Popura’s hair and Yachiyo making a parfait for Kyouko as usual. As expected, Inami haven’t gotten over her fear for men yet, although she is making progress. In fact, she didn’t punch a single guy in this episode although she is afraid of them once in a while.
Aside from that, the first half focused on Souta spending his time with a little girl who came to visit. Obviously, he played with her while neglecting Popura and Inami. I have to admit that I felt sorry for them, especially for the former since he decided to leave them with all the work. At least he didn’t forget about Popura completely after the little girl went home with her mother. Even so, I still prefer to see him with Inami because they are cute together.
In the second half, it seems that Kirio asked Inami to find his little sister yet again, but this time in the forest. It’s a good thing that Aoi didn’t run into him or it would be bad news. However, she managed to find Otoo’s wife that managed to get herself lost in a forest. Still, the surprising thing is that even though Aoi took her to the restaurant and Yachiyo and Souma sealed all the openings to the room she was in, she still managed to escape. This makes me wonder if she has some teleporting powers that we don’t know about. Either way, the hopeless search continues for Otoo.
Overall, the first episode was very enjoyable and was nice way to remind us of the whole cast before focusing on other crazy antics at the restaurant. From the look of the next episode, it seems that Izumi will get dragged out of the house once again along with a new character that we didn’t see before. Is he related to the little girl who Souta was playing with? We’ll find out soon enough. ¶
