Photo Kano Episode 9
While I enjoyed Aki’s arc in the last episode, I felt that Nonoka’s was too short since she is the 2nd most enjoyable compared to the other girls. Besides being the first one to kiss Maeda, whom she likes, I find her personality rather interesting. Although she is a tomboy, she is also a very cheerful girl that she makes some visual jokes such as the hand-bra thing. Also, her interactions were rather adorable. Because of this, I felt somewhat disappointed since they rushed it like a racecar on a track. Such a shame really as Photo Kano would have been better with more episodes. Then, the girls will have more time to develop. Oh well, there is always the game…
Ore no Imouto 2 Episode 9
It seems that the recent episodes of Ore no Imouto is tugging me in the wrong direction. Basically, Kyousuke becomes upset over Ruri suddenly moving away without telling him. Afterwards, he runs to his sister for advice, revealing another thing with Kirino… She doesn’t want Kyousuke to have a girlfriend either, thus making them completely even despite his outburst. Basically, this proves that Kyousuke has no backbone, but we knew that already.
While everything between Kirino, Ruri and Kyousuke gets resolved, I still feel uneasy because this whole situation was overblown. I know that Ruri might have done this to have Kyousuke and Kirino get along with each other and mend her friendship with the latter. However, it doesn’t make me feel any better about the ending. As of now, the ending points to an incest ending, which makes me cringe when I think about it. Then again, I may be cynical as Ruri is simply putting the whole relationship on hold until the time is right when Kirino can accept the relationship between Ruri and Kyousuke without throwing the monkey wrench. If so, that means the ending will be disappointing as they wasted an entire season making absolutely no progress, unless a girl wins or they pull a harem ending in the last-minute. I doubt it as the incest ending has a good possibility of happening.
Such a shame really as we get to see Ruri in the maid-cat outfit again, which is the only saving grace for this episode.
