No matter how much you look at this, this show is pretty mysterious.
From watching the first episode, Red Data Girl looks very intriguing. In this episode, we took a glimpse of a girl named Izumiko Suzuhara who wants to become normal. One of the steps is of course cutting off her hair in the front, which everyone apparently freaks out about. I find this reaction rather odd since she now looks somewhat normal to me.
On the other hand, I can understand why she is so poor at using any type of technology. When I heard that she breaks two new cellphones instantly, she is definitely not normal. Of course, she manages to break all the computers and make the school lose power. I think it’s for the best since the school is using outdated technology. I mean, Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6? It’s not 2001 anymore! It’s time to upgrade to Windows 7! (Sorry, Windows 8 does not count.)
While the first episode doesn’t really reveal much on why mysterious things happen when she touches any piece of electronic, what is the meaning behind “himegami” (姫神, lit. Princess God)? Either way, I felt bad for her in this episode as she gets bulled quite a lot. Not only that, Miyuki, who is supposed to look after her had a history of bullying her during his childhood. I wonder if he will change after looking after her for some time. Not only that, the blue haired guy seems to be interested in her as well. We will find out about that and more in the near future.
(Also, do not post spoilers for the second and third episodes as they aired early.)
Well, worth the wait for the official 1st episode. Poor, Izumiko. I already feel sorry for her getting bullied so much, especially by Miyuki. Hopefully, it will get more to his backstory in the next episode. Although, if I am understanding this right, Himegami must mean Spirit Princess, vessel, or something along those lines. Not sure what context it is used in.
(Lol. I don’t even consider Windows 8 an upgrade).
So much bullying, but I don’t know why the adults won’t do something about it… But of course, the vessel thing will reveal it self in a moments time
But aside from that, I have used Windows 8 and it’s crappy. I hate the metro interface as it’s something for a tablet or touch screens. Not only that, it’s harder to use from experience and the only way it becomes usable if you install a third party application like Start8 to make the computer usable again. At that rate, may as well stay with Windows 7. The again, I got a license for it for free since I’m in college, but still.
