I’m dreading every moment of this considering how bad the second season was. Still, I’m obligated to finish it, which is why we have four original video animations to finish it. As a matter in fact, the original source material concluded several months ago, which can explain why they wanted to finish the Anime. Believe me, there will be a lot of fireworks going once this is done and it took only three years in the making to get here.
From the looks of things, this episode starts off where we left off from the last season. Shiina still have unsolved feelings for Yuuto while he is being somewhat indecisive in recognizing Haruka as his girlfriend. One can say that this first original animation is just a complete waste of time as we go in a round-a-bout fashion by reintroducing a scene similar to the one in the first season where Shiina causes a big misunderstanding with Yuuto and him having to explain everything to Haruka once again, something that he already resolved the first time! Then again, this time is different since Shiina is actually confessing her feelings for him after keeping it in for such a long time. Maybe now, he has to confess his feelings for the girl he loves or suffer the consequences. From the looks of things, it’s clear that Yuuto loves Haruka. Then again, this scene is probably there just to stir some love triangle drama.
On the other hand, I have mixed reactions about the way the so-called finale is going. While the moments with Yuuto and Haruka are endearing, I felt troubled at the same time with the same, over-clichéd fanservice. Besides the blatant, in your face panty shots, it had breast groping, moaning noises from ear cleaning and milk splashing all over the face. What this show doesn’t need is more of the bad fanservice. Apparently, they haven’t learned their lesson and decided to shove the King Game as a ploy for more fanservice because the audience asked for it!
Overall, I already have a bad feeling that the so-called finale for Nogizaka Haruka will turn for the worse. It’s already bad enough that we didn’t get to see Yuuto kiss his girl since the first season. Then again, I may be wrong since there are three episodes left even though my expectations are very low at this moment.
