Marika’s plan looks ambitious, but…
While it might look like an awesome plan since a space pirate alliance to strike down an enemy is a great and all, it had a lot of risks. Apparently, some more ships got shot down on their way to the “Pirates Nest” while the Bentenmaru got damaged. Yeah, this is not what Marika had in mind, especially with fake Luca secretly wiring data to Quartz. Holy crap! How could nobody have realized this? Also, what ever happened to the real Luca? That is a mystery that nobody will ever solve, except for Oreki.
Aside from that, the reasoning behind Quartz shooting down pirate ships is for the fact that they don’t do any real piracy. For some reason, this kind of reminded me some of the complaints from few of the viewers regarding some of the episodes. Although the girls messing around with a pirate ship was face-palm worthy, it was still a fun experience for Marika and company. With that, Marika’s must stand up for her beliefs while teaming up with the other crew to defeat Quartz through pirate festivities of some sort.
Not to mention, Coolrie reminded me a lot of Saori from Ore no Imouto as she hid her true beauty. When I saw her dressed like that, she just looks gorgeous (as seen in the first picture). Still, kind of sad that she doesn’t want to keep it, but at least it didn’t go to waste.
