Going Crazy over Gosick – Episodes 8-11 Brief Thoughts

April 4, 2011 by Chikorita157 2 Comments

Well, Gosick might not be the greatest mystery show considering how easily the mysteries are solved. However, there is one appeal Gosick has left… Victorica. (Image Source)

Who Frame Cordelia?

This maid is just axe crazy!

I knew from the beginning that Harminia, a maid was guilty for the crime by her odd behavior. She is basically the one who killed Theodore and used Cordelia as a scapegoat to cover up her wrongdoing. Traditionally, maids are supposed to be pure. Sadly, Harminia isn’t since she is completely rotten and a psychopath. Her true colors are shown when she tries to burn down the whole village and the drawbridge.

I praise Kazuya for protecting Victorica from Harminia considering the possibility of being killed… but fortunately, it didn’t happen.

The Case of the Missing Girls… and Victorica gets Sick.

Just as planned!

While coming down with the flu is never a good thing, we finally see Victorica being so cute in the bedroom… Besides, the way she reacted from getting the flu shot was just priceless.

On the other hand, the mystery of the mall was a mixed bag. It involved Kazuya finding a girl who was kidnapped by unknown people. He also goes into a room that feels suspicious. With the help of a smart boy and the Inspector Glaviel, they bust everyone involved with the auctioning of girls and stolen artifacts.  This makes me wonder, why did the owners even bother moving the stuff when they are going to get caught in the end? It just makes no sense whatsoever.

Origins of Glaviel’s Hair

She looks like a doll... oh wait!

Jacqueline is a very cheerful woman and Glaviel’s love interest. Unfortunately, she is wrongly accused for the murder of the doctor that happened in the past. Shortly after, the doctor’s wife turned herself as the murderer of the doctor and Jacqueline’s name was cleared.

I have always wondered where Glaviel got his weird hairstyle. It’s quite obvious that he asked Victorica to help Jacqueline and she did. As a result, he is forced to wear an embarrassing hairstyle forever, which he is still angry about.

First episode was great then came the mystery which failed to keep my attention, I know there are people out there that love Gosick a lot. Which I don’t want to bash because hey I liked IS and that wasn’t impressive to most.

Vic is cute so people will watch! I say if you are watching it for that then have fun 😀 as anime fans we tend to get drawn to a certain characters from all kinds of shows. Mostly cute ones but we all have different tastes in favorites! As for me I love the wild, random, hyper girls the most in anime.

I only wish that the mysteries would be better… I guess I need to watch something like Case Closed or something if I wanted deep and interesting mysteries… The mysteries in Gosick is just too shallow. I do agree with you though. Victorica is just that cute that I can’t possibly drop the show… I would feel guilty if I do.

As for Rio: Rainbow Gate, that shit sucked.
