This is probably the 4th most popular Anime that everyone is talking about this season. Ore No Imouto Ga Konna Ni Kawaii Wake Ga Nai (or My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute) takes on the Otaku culture which was focused vaguely in Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu. Instead of a boy meets girl kind of thing, it has an older brother and younger sister!
The story starts off with Kyousuke living a life of a normal high school student. One day, he accidently bumps into Kirino who will not acknowledge his existence. He finds a DVD of a eroge game that was soon found out to be Kirino’s. At night, she slaps him and secretly tells him her secret hobby, playing eroge games, collecting related merchandise and anime.
Does this give you deja vu? It was the same exact way Yuuto found outabout Haruka’s Otaku secret. No f***ing sh**! The biggest difference between Haruka and Imouto is that Imouto was better executed from the looks of the first episode. It also had slightly better animation and music. In addition, it did not have a panty shot every scene that a girl falls down or something. The best part is that they kept focus on the Otaku theme, which Nogizaka Haruka (especially the second season 1) neglected since they shove way too much meta that distracted it from the whole premise.
If you notice in the pile of eroge games, AIC give a nice shout out for 0verflow 2. The ones that are in the pile are School Days, Summer Days and Cross Days.
Overall, I think Ore No Imouto Ga Konna Ni Kawaii Wake Ga Nai is going to turn out really good from what I watched in the first episode. It would be quite interesting how they do their older bother and younger sister bonding with all this eroge game playing 3. It may even turn out to be a sister and bother incest…
No, I’m just kidding about that part since it would just be plain gross.

I guess Kyousuke is going to get the bad ending now since he chose the wrong flag! It happens since I have been there before.
