The result? It turned out to be a very enjoyable finale…
It’s the return of Kotori-chan from Episode 9. I never knew he would actually do it even though Yamada and Souma forces him to. Don’t worry, it gets Popura all excited as she is a big fan of her (or him for that matter). Souta’s cross dressing gives us really cute moments as shown below.
Actually, Souta’s behavior to cute and little things while he is dressed like a girl make us wish that he was an actual girl. This can explain everything.
At the end of the day, Inami never got the courage to hold Souta’s hand because she gets this uncontrollable urge of punching him although Souta is dressed up like a girl. Don’t worry though, Inami never punches Souta. However Souta’s compliment of that Inami’s clothes being cute made her react pretty strangely. This is because she never got a compliment like that before. In the end, it’s unclear if Inami’s fear for men actually got cured or not… I guess they will leave that for next time.
Meet Matsumoto Maya, a cute, long haired meganekko who is a new employee at the restaurant. Her fear for strangeness of the employees is blown out of proportion since the whole cast is rather eccentric. There is nothing normal about this restaurant when you have someone carrying a katana, punching men and someone obsessing over cute, little things. So why deny it? I’m guessing that Maya wants to be normal and don’t want to deal with the strangeness of the other employees.
It’s a shame that we didn’t get to see enough of her since it’s the last episode. Perhaps they will if they decide to make another season of Working!!
The finale is rather enjoyable and over the top. It incorporates the funniest scenes and the return of Kotori. Although we won’t get the wackiness of Working in real life, it was a fun ride and I’m glad I had sticked with it. If they ever decide to make a second season, I would definitely go for it…
Stay tuned for the review of Working as there is a lot to say about this wacky restaurant slice of life.
Verdict:
9/10
Overall Score: 8.65/10
I wonder why Matsumoto Maya was ever added to this season. She was just thrown in there at the end. Honestly, I had no idea who she was during this episode.
Its pretty uncanny because usually stories will not insert characters in the last minute. That isn’t good story telling. Then again, it doesn’t matter since the whole show is pretty crazy as it is…
