This battle is full of lard, all thanks to Mori Arty and Milky Holmes’s stupidity.
Believe it or not, this is the first time Mori Arty had more screen time in the whole series. Needless to say, she tricks Milky Holmes in opening the Pandora’ Pot and obviously, they did it. In turn, it releases all the evil toys that Sherlock Holmes captured with Mori secretly bagging one. It kind of shows her real intentions although we don’t know what she will use it for. On the other hand, the pig boy returns and suddenly develops into one of the predominant villains for the second season.
If you recall from the previous episodes, Milky Holmes continuously scapegoats a pig like boy named Buta on several occasions. Now he is back with vengeance after he couldn’t take it anymore, especially with the deprivation of lard. He eventually absorbed all the evil toys that floated in the air. Afterwards, he took all the lard and moisture from all of Japan, Dragonball Z style with lard power levels over 9000! Everyone looked silly after they become useless and look all shriveled up after taking it all with Milky Holmes being the exception. I suppose they can’t possibly become a bigger failure than they are. Even so, that fact made me laugh so hard that I literally lost my breath.
Eventually, Buta transforms into a handsome man through the help of lard and calls himself the “God of Lard.” When I heard the whole history of lard, it sounds even more ridiculous because let’s face it, the Big Bang didn’t cause the formation of lard planets. Aside from that, his toys consisted of releasing lard webs, shooting lard arrows and unleashing tremors. There are possibly more powers, but his toys are insane!
Like the last season, Milky Holmes spontaneously regains their toys to fight Buta. It was a hell of a battle since the girls worked together and pound the crap out of him. It didn’t end there, he transformed into his winged form. Shortly after, Aresené returns to land a final blow on him, allowing the girls suck and seal away his evil toys through a golden straw.
Although the battle had many silly moments, it’s perhaps one of the most entertaining battles from Milky Holmes since the first season. They always do a great job when they have their toys. Then again, why am I fooling myself? If they regain their toys, there is no point of continuing the show since they can defeat Aresené, capture and throw her in jail. For that, they must lose their toys again in the next episode so we can keep enjoying the shenanigans between them, the Genius 4 and Gentleman Thieves.
Aside from that, Merry Lardmas!
