Now that we are finished with the winter anime, it’s time to focus on the first bunch of shows for spring. Considering how short Pan de Peace is, I will be bringing Anime Weekly back from the dead, meaning that I might cover one more show and only sharing brief impressions for each. The other two shows that will air in the latter half of the week will be covered normally.

For a while, I felt that all the shows that tend to deal with mystery doesn’t quite live up to expectations since it takes a while until things become interesting. While shows like Hyouka and Gosick took a while to develop, they eventually became interesting towards the end.
At a glance, Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru feels somewhat similar to Gosick as the teenaged male protagonist plays a supporting role while the female lead is the main detective as they solve various mysteries.

I find it somewhat silly that Chika out of all people managed to somewhat injured herself before the preliminaries.

With chaos ensuing on the island thanks to the fire that looks like an arson at the department store, it’s clear that someone is after Uzal’s secret weapon.

As the band inches closer to the competition date, the band instructor tries his hardest to prepare the band. Sadly, he collapses for working non-stop. With him out of commission and Mr. Sakai, another band instructor and teacher who manages the band at a different school that the instructor happens to watch got suspended, it seems that both bands are in a tough situation.

I have to admit that this is the off the wall hot spring episode I saw. Normally, those are not too insane and focus mostly on the fanservice, but this one takes the cake.
