After Nana gets to meet Nekonote in person and also spies on Arisa’s date with Touko, her second volume is finally close to release. Takizawa invites Nana, Arisa, and Nagomi to a pizza party.
At last, Nana gets to see her sample copies of volume 2 of her manga. She seems rather excited, while Arisa seems down, as she has a long way to go before the money comes in. Takizawa invites Nana over for a pizza party after saying she bought a copy of Nana’s manga. She wants Arisa to come over, who seems a bit down right now.
Still, I find it funny how Takizawa, on a whim, invited them so that they could have pizza. She can’t possibly eat that many slices alone and have the cravings for them. Still, Arisa wondered why there was a woman whom Takizawa invited whom she didn’t know. Somehow, Nagomi knows Arisa and already follows her series to the very end. She even follows Arisa on social media.
After hearing this, Arisa became best friends afterwards. That said, they couldn’t even finish the pizzas. Still, Takizawa is happy that four of her former assistants became mangakas in the end and didn’t return to their hometowns. Funny how Takizawa says that if she hadn’t met Tatsunami, things would have ended up differently. As they say, networking and knowing the right people matter. Still, it’s funny how Nana and Arisa have a grudge against a certain editor who screwed them over.
Meanwhile, Touko and Kaede paid a visit to Nana’s apartment. Mizuki said that Nana was at Takizawa and thought the meeting was not today. Kaede seems disappointed after realizing they rescheduled, but they decided to have dinner together. They basically had fried chicken with green tea. Mizuki, of course, talked about how she ended up working for Nana as an assistant. Funny how Kaede gets super embarrassed when Mizuki says she sounds like Nana’s mother. We also learn that Kaede has grievances towards the same editor that Nana and Arisa had issues with. Thankfully, it worked out in the end for Kaede after he left, and she was able to work with Nana.
Eventually, Nana came back from that pizza party and joined in with the dinner. As for what the meeting is about, it’s about the signing event. Funny how Nana gets surprised, then the next day complains about having to do a singing event and blames Kaede for her poor communication. Then again, it’s just Nana forgetting again and wondering if it will be a disaster, although Kaede is confident it will turn out well.
Well, when Nana entered the event room, she saw a long line of approximately 100 people. Nana got to hear praises for her work. Interestingly, Nekonote was there as Nana eventually notices. Apparently, besides working with Nana, she is a fan of her works. Funny how Nana said she could give an autograph at any time, but Nekonote mentions that it is cheating from an otaku standpoint. While one person didn’t make it, Nana was kind enough to wait a bit. Eventually, the lady appeared, but she had a hard time hearing when talking to the bookstore staff who were wearing masks. Nana eventually came up to her and signed her copy. She even offered her own umbrella. Nana understood the troubles the lady had since one of her relatives had hearing issues as well.
In the end, sure, Nana complained about having to do a signing event when she is an introvert. However, she doesn’t regret it as she got to meet all the fans at the event. In a way, this shows that Nana grown quite a bit since her first volume release.
