After Youko and Airi finally had their satisfying circuit at the Motegi, they finally head up north to Hokkaido.
Youko and Airi, of course, head to the ferry terminal. Sadly, it’s basically underwater. Of course, Youko has a dream of herself riding a ferry with Chitose. During her stream, Youko woke up and still thinks she is on a ferry to Hokkaido. When Youko woke up, she saw Airi, who had spent the night on the ship with her.
Of course, we know why Youko wants to go to Hokkaido. It’s because it’s the mecca for bike riders. With that, they decide to take the long way there. Before they departed, they visited the Oya History Museum, which has an underground mine tour. It took Youko a while to find the QR code, but it was on the ceiling and really big, too. She needed the proper camera exposure to get it. Also, they saw some rock formations. Funny how Youko thinks Benkei is mad, but of course, one of the big rocks almost fell on them. Thankfully, a lightning bolt shattered the rocks.
They even went through a windy road with signs that have hiragana arranged along the curves. Yes, Youko is having a lot of fun, although Airi points out that it’s dangerous. Alas, Youko barely made it when there was a ditch in the road. Thankfully, they got to the other side since the bike is made for off-roading.
They made it to Kegon Falls. While they went through the park, Youko got all excited, and Airi grew worried as they fell off the edge and slid down the hill. Thankfully, they survived, although this seems more like a shortcut to the viewing area to get a nice view of the waterfall with a rainbow appearing, too. Either way, it’s a nice way to end the episode as they continue to head to Hokkaido.

I had no idea one could drive to Hokkaido from Honshu… must be a really long bridge 😅
Youko of course needs an excuse to make more stops than just taking a ferry there.
