After Miko and Shiori got into a fight, as Miko had enough of her, Hinako intervened. Of course, Miko comes clean about her past. You might be wondering what Miko actually did after the cliffhanger.
From last time, Miko transformed back to her fox form as she bit something. You might be wondering: did she actually eat Hinako? No, she actually bit off one of her 5 tails, leaving her with only 4. In a way, she is doing it not only to give up her Yokai tendencies, but also to show that she is serious about protecting Hinako and promising not to eat or harm her.

Sure, Miko doing this takes guts, but at least after transforming back, she finally made a truce with Shiori. After taking Hinako home, Miko talked with Shiori a bit. Now that she is a bit weaker, as the many tails are the source of her powers, she wants Shiori to help protect Hinako and sacrifice herself if she needs to.

After all, Miko noticed that while Hinako’s blood was not attractive at first, over time it became so. That is when Miko started to see this urge, which she held back for a long time, until now. Of course, Shiori is thinking the same as Miko. Yep, while there is a truce, it’s evident that the two still hate each other, but are putting their differences aside, for now. That said, we do see the burn scars on Hinako’s back, probably from the accident. No wonder Hinako wears long sleeves to hide this.

That said, it’s nice to see Miko back to her old self and continuing to be friends with Hinako. Of course, during lunch, she bought all of Hinako’s favorite junk food with Hinako. As expected, she is not happy that Shiori is there. While it’s nice to see her try to feed Pocky to Hinako, one of the students from the library management team comes to get Miko. Sure, Shiori seems happy that she can have Hinako to herself. Hinako reveals that Miko helps out with anyone who needs it.

The next day, Shiori takes Miko to a beach. Sure, Hinako doesn’t want to reveal her scars. Thankfully, Miko suggested a place where they can still have fun without changing into swimsuits: restaurants and shops by the beach. Of course, Miko can’t go, given her reduced powers, but at least she helped out, although she wished to be there.

As expected, while Hinako seems uneasy at first about going, they are about to get to the beach. At least Shiori reassured her as she lent her a hat, and they enjoyed their time together until a storm came. It involves probably the same Yokai from the first episode. The question is, can Shiori defeat them all and protect Hinako from harm?
