After Youko and Airi explored Akihabara and helped upgrade a radio station, they set out for their next destination. However, Youko seems to be having a bunch of unfortunate situations.

As expected, Youko is not having a good time as she rides into a bog in Noda that is hard to ride through. Of course, turning back and finding a different path is not really an option. She made a big mistake of stopping in the bog and deciding that it’s only a little bit further. The funny thing is, the bike gets stuck, and they get well into the mud. In short, they got all dirty, including their shoes, which got all muddy.

In short, Youko and Airi decide to do laundry while Youko cleans up the bike. She realizes she should do maintenance on the bike after finding fine scratches on it. Of course, there is the whole discussion of maybe they should go back to the shelter, as she has the tools to fix it. Of course, with all the traveling, they can’t see themselves going back to that life of being stuck in the shelter and getting bored. They pitched a tent for the night, too.

Of course, they get a bit hungry. Youko managed to make some Honeycomb Toffee. I find it funny how Airi thought it was an explosion when she pushed Youko, thinking it would go off like a bomb. The funny thing is, Airi’s attempt didn’t turn out well. With that, they turned to fishing, but they couldn’t catch anything. That is, until night, when there is a bunch of fish jumping out of the water. That is when Airi managed to catch a big fish. Still, Youko thinks the night brought some bad omens, with the moon being massive, the lack of wind, and fish jumping out of nowhere.

The next day, Youko’s bad luck became a reality as a storm was about to approach as they headed to their destination. Before the storm came, she got a flat tire, but thankfully, she fixed it. Eventually, it started raining heavily, with thunder and lightning. Also, some tornadoes are appearing. They had to stop to put on their raincoats and goggles so they could reach Umihotaru.

Thankfully, they managed to get there as the storm got worse. Still, Youko eventually admits that it was scary riding in a storm like that, but it was also filled with that adrenaline rush of making it through. Still, it looks like something is lurking beneath the building —perhaps a bit creepy. We’ll see what it is next time.
