After Satoko made waves by sharing photos of herself and Konoha on social media, she might have been careless with her operational security. Well, the unthinkable happened while they were sleeping. On the other hand, they have a new place to stay, but it has a spooky aspect to it.

Satoko and Konoha suddenly find themselves homeless after their apartment caught on fire. Thanks to Marin having cameras over the apartment. Sadly, Satoko lost her money because, well, she doesn’t trust banks. In other words, she pretty much lost all her savings. Thankfully, she didn’t lose her data as she got a replacement smartphone.

You might be wondering who was responsible for it. It’s a ninja assassin, given the way they set the fire on camera. But who is it, and how did she know where Satoko lives? Well Satoko is not very good at protecting her operational security, as she gives away her location through the photos she uploads.
Of course, she got into an argument with a busty influencer who makes cooking videos named Karin, who refers to herself as a “food researcher.” Satoko didn’t know that Karin was from the village, as she had gotten into an argument with her. It led to her saying she knew where Satoko lived and threatened to burn her house down. Well, Karin threatens to kill Satoko and burn her house down. Marin efficiently pointed out where Satoko and Karin lived, so no wonder this incident happened. With Satoko being careless, she lost her money and belongings along with Konoha’s.
Thankfully, at least they made it out alive, with the clothes on their back and some of the crucial things Marin had saved. Sure, it’s nice to see Konoha wearing a maid’s outfit since, after all, why Marin used this opportunity to use this to her advantage.

Thankfully, the association found a new place for Satoko and Konoha to live. It’s a spacious house which looks pretty familiar. The association purchased it after it was abandoned. It still has the previous owner’s belongings. It’s a blessing in disguise, right? Well, Satoko blew up their new location, and Karin came to try to kill Satoko. Thankfully, they set a trap, so she slipped so Konoha could finish her. Yep, they dealt with the culprit.

The funny thing is that Konoha becomes spooked as the door opens. Konoha decides to sleep in the same bed as Satoko. However, turning the doorknob scared them and kept them awake, meaning they didn’t get much sleep. They eventually find a photo of the previous residents, Fumiko, Asuka and Midori. The ghost that haunts them the most is Midori.

That is while strange happenings occur in the house, and a particular house plant eventually dies from being overwatered. When Marin said they should just throw out the plant, she started acting funny, trying to kill Satoko. Thankfully, she got restrained.

In short, something is possessing Marin. Essentially, Satoko called Kuro and Yuri to perform an exorcism. The funny thing is that she doesn’t do a good job of doing it but has the devil to possess Marin instead. The funny thing is that Satoko manages to vanquish the devil by touching the arms that came out of Marin. With that, Marin was unconscious until objects were being thrown at Satoko. Before that happens, Kuro finds out that Ayaka’s leafy remains perished in the apartment fire, which makes her sad. At least she has Yuri until Ayaka takes control of Marin’s body and tries to kill Kuro. Thankfully, Kuro punished the processed Marin in the face. However, she got dirty looks from Yuri, Konoha, and Satoko for hitting a girl despite protecting them.

In the end, Konoha and Satoko simply ignored the ghost. Eventually, Satoko finds her and turns the ghost into leaves. We discover that the ninja assassins who were turned into leaves are essentially going to heaven. The only notable one that is missing is Mao. Yes, she is dead, thanks to the robot version of Satoko brutally killing her. At least they exist in the afterlife, although a portal allows them to return to the real world as ghosts. However, there are rules, as only one can use the well. Eventually, their privileges were revoked due to Ayaka, who resides in the exact location of Kuro and Yuri. Ayaka is trying to torment them for obvious reasons.

@chikorita157 I didn’t catch that her name is Yuri until this episode. Keeps playing with tropes and there’s some pretty good callbacks (like the house). Really curious how it will land in the end. It’s nothing like what I expected, but it’s good 🙂
