With the New Year coming soon, New Year’s Eve, Faust, Sophie, and Meg go to an event that mages and magic-related corporations at the end to show off their new technologies. It’s a big deal since it’s on New Year’s Eve. As expected, Meg meets someone interested in her because of her curse. Who is that lady?

As expected, it’s funny to see Meg boasting about her new nickname, Witch of Lapis. Of course, the kids acted like they pitied her. It’s funny how Meg claws like some kind of insect. Sophie finds Meg’s behavior creepy.

That said, Faust and Sophie tell Meg about the ceremony that the Council of Magic puts on every 20 years. During the event, mages and magic-related corporations show off their new technologies. Since Meg earned herself a new nickname, Faust and Sophie think Meg is worthy of attending. As expected, when Faust turns on the TV, Meg sees an attractive “world beauty,” Chloe, the witch of words who is one of the seven sages. It’s funny how Meg talks dirty after seeing how attractive her body is.

Eventually, they went to the venue where the festival took place through a magic teleportation circle. Eventually, Sophie gets surrounded by reporters after they find her. Meg gives Sophie her white owl familiar as she receives the other familiar. It’s funny how she gets annoyed by the media after being trampled by them. Sophie said she would handle everything on her own.

Eventually, a blue-haired, short-statured lady acts smug since Meg wants to place a curse on people of the media by saying that the Council of Magic can strip Meg’s ability to use magic. Meg notices that she sees spirits around this young lady and calls Meg one of the hired staff members. It’s funny how Meg stretches her cheeks as it catches other people’s attention.

This young lady started crying, sitting on a bench as Meg apologized. The only thing that cheers her up is Meg’s familiarity, which this lady has never seen before. It’s funny how she got snot on the familiar. This lady separates from her servant as Meg takes her around, including a contest event and a buffet. Meg runs into Inori, who is busy at her booth. It’s funny how she doesn’t respond when Meg calls her name out. The only thing that does is mention her smelly feet and being a slob. It’s funny how Inori silently threatens to kill Meg for saying that as Meg gets away with the young lady.

Eventually, Meg bumps into a lady who wears dark clothing and a veil. This lady mentions a fate worse than the curse if Meg lifts it. She said when Meg lifted it, she would lose something more precious and irreplaceable that Meg would give her life for. Before she knows it, the lady tries to snap Meg out of it. That lady is gone.

You might be wondering, who is this lady? We discover this lady is one of the Seven Sages, the Witch of Disaster, Eldora. The only reason she is on the council is to keep her power in check, given how destructive her powers can be. During the announcement by the chairman, Faust and Eldora were on stage, and he announced a large-scale project. The planet core project is to create a source for all magic, make the planet’s core with an artificial core made from magic orc, and control the magic flower with a human hand.
Meg wonders what the young lady is muttering. It’s about Eldora, and she doesn’t seem to like her. That is until Sophie returns, and Eldora uses a curse to prevent things from being recorded. That is until she asks who the short young lady is. We find out after an attractive blonde-haired lady hugs this short lady.

Meg found out the blonde hair beauty was not Chloe but Wendy. The short lady is Chloe. Wendy takes Chloe’s place since Chloe has no magic since she is half-human and half-spirit. That is why she has spirits around her that Meg can see. Chloe can talk to humans and spirits, which is her ability.

In short, Wendy is a spokeswoman that does most of the work. As expected, Meg teases Chloe with a specific name, given her age and status. Chloe calls Meg a total airhead, and she doesn’t like how Meg bullies her until she finds out Meg is Faust’s apprentice. As expected, Chloe is a big fan of Faust.
With the event over, they are back in front of their home. They have tea, and Meg looks forward to another year. She learned nothing about her curse from Eldora except that something bad will happen when Meg manages to lift it. What is it? I guess we’ll find out soon.
