As Chika continued her trip with Koyomi at Toyama, they failed to research something when they wanted to go to a particular attraction. Chika is on a journey with Yui.

After looking at the Sea of Japan, they head to a hot springs hotel for the night after having dinner. They plan to ride the Kurobe Gorge Trolley Train but realize their mistake. They came too early as it’s still winter. It’s a research failure, but not as catastrophic as when Aki, Ena, and Aoi made their camping trip at Lake Yamanaka and didn’t realize how cold it was. At most, Chika and Koyomi got a nice photo of their failed attempt to ride the trolley. Maybe next time.

With the trip over, Chika runs into Yui, whom she looks up to Chika. She wants to go on a journey with Chika so badly. She seems jealous of Chika, who has recently been on a trip with Koyomi. As expected, Koyomi is boasting about it to Yui, which makes Yui feel that she is being left out.

Chika eventually decides to go on a trip with Yui, whose destination is chosen by a poll. They went during Golden Week to Shikoku. They went from Takamatsu to Kotoden, heading to a fancy udon restaurant. However, it was packed, and they had to wait an hour, but it was well worth it. After all, they are eating udon from the udon prefecture.

They also rode a trolley and visited various temples. That is before heading for a hotel. Sadly, all the places are booked since Chika didn’t reserve a spot in time, which worries her. However, Yui doesn’t seem all that concerned, although they eventually manage to find a place to stay in separate rooms. The next day, they visited more places, including a pond with many carp. Interestingly, the fish got all excited.

Towards the end, Yui mentioned that while journeys are pleasant, she is a little worried since the idea of one is abrupt, and Chika doesn’t seem to be the type who complains. Chika admits to letting it out in bed. Even so, Yui seems worried that Koyomi will take the attention away from her. Chika eventually notices Yui acting funny and promises her to go on another journey. Of course, Yui gets her turn to brag about eating udon in Shikoku, which makes Koyomi jealous. I guess it does go both ways.
