Kabushikigaisha Magilumiere – Episode 9 – Nikoyama and The Power of Teamwork

November 30, 2024 by Chikorita157 3 Comments
Hitomi starts to panic as things get worse. However, Nikoyama is having trouble because of his slow laptop.

Last time, a tree Kaii went out of control when a demonstration went wrong. Nikoyama is in a pinch as his computer is not fast enough to transfer the newly developed magic circle. Can he pull through?

From last time, we find out that his computer is not fast enough to transmit the newly developed magic circles. Of course, Hitomi and Kana are panicking as the bomb variants explode. Kaii trees. From the looks of it, he feels that he can’t pull it off because of his poor laptop specs. Then again, Wifi or 5G can be an issue when transferring the programs.

Apparently, Nikoyama enjoyed developing magic programs, but other students doesn’t seem to care.

We see a flashback of Nikoyama working on magical programs on his desktop, only to run out of space. He does it as a hobby that he enjoys doing as a passion. Ultimately, he loses a contest he entered, but the students think he is taking it too seriously since it’s just a tool. As a result, he disliked talking about magic to other people for fear that he would get made fun of or harshly criticized.

Shigemoto tried to offer a job to Nikoyama, but he is not sure if he can do it.

However, he manages to get a call from someone. Shigemoto is wearing a different pink outfit but still has the cute appearance he is looking for. Shigemoto seems to like Nikoyama’s entry. He offered him a job, but he was not confident and might get criticized. Of course, he reassures him that he won’t get blamed, which is one-sided, but feedback to improve

Apparently, three of his peers see that Nikoyama is having trouble.
Apparently, they are willing to help him out.

Eventually, Nikoyama, in a pinch, asks the three workers in the industry to help him out. While he thought they rejected him, they simply returned with their laptops to help him out. They seem to like the development tools that Nikoyama gives them access to. Either way, as a team, they developed a magical circle powerful enough to deal with all the mutated Kaii. It shows that there are people in the industry willing to help him, and of course, the ones Nikoyama looks up to. At least it’s nice to see him loosen his complex, as not everyone is out to criticize him.

Hitomi gets defensive as Kyo tries to poach Kana.

Aside from that, the AST president, Kyo, came as some people wanted to ask him questions. However, Kyo is there attempting to poach Kana from Magilumiere. Of course, things get heated with Hitomi until Shigemoto tries to step in. Of course, he tries to ask Kyo about cooperating as he predicts that the incident from 15 years ago will happen again. Kyo doesn’t seem to care, which makes me wonder what happened between the two to have a big falling out with each other.

That said, Satisfact’s president ask Shigemoto how Magilumiere can efficiently deal with the mutated Kaii. Shigemoto was already one step ahead and explained that with the mutated Kaii-like plants with pesticides, the bugs could eventually overcome it and render it ineffective. He believes the same thing is happening here as the mutations gained the ability to take in more magic, which it used from the area around it. No wonder some magic circles on display glitched out as the Kaii took that magic. Of course, there are implications of what will come soon enough regarding Kaii and mutations. We’re about to find out soon.

@chikorita157@chikorita157.com Seems like Kaii can undergo something similar to antimicrobial resistance. Might be something more to it than that, though, since the CEOs appear to be a bit shaken up by it.

Not too surprising given that they are getting stronger, but I do wonder what might be the cause behind this too.

Going to pose a challenge for other magical girl companies besides Magilumiere
