Last time, Kurumi Yuzu and the others investigated a wonder during break. They got themselves into some trouble. Can Kurumi finally do magic to save them?
Last time, the Magic Research Club decided to investigate a wonder in a particular building. While the other members are becoming consumed by the fog, it’s evident that modern magic does not affect the fog, given that the dronies stopped working for a certain period during the race due to the wonder. In other words, only ancient magic will work here.
Kurumi decided to perform a spell, and she came very close to pulling it off. However, the spell evaporated when she realized she had already given up being a magician. I would have thought that Kurumi would pull it off, but her lack of confidence caused her spell to evaporate. However, Yuzu surprisingly pulled off a spell to take down the fog, which caused Kurumi to lose more confidence. After all, Yuzu managed to pull off the spell Suzuki, but Kurumi can’t.
Right before bed, Kurumi wondered why she even received this notebook from the magician lady. Is it because she liked magic? Still, Kurumi feels she can’t do it and even considers giving that notebook to Yuzu. Of course, Suzuki’s frog observed what she said and reported back to Suzuki, finding Kurumi’s loss of confidence in being a magician. Also, who is that guy that is peeking at the students?
Yuzu noticed that Kurumi was feeling down during the New Year’s party. Kurumi hides it when she asks about Kyo’s dream of becoming a state magician. At the same time, Kyo said that the students at the school, including Kurumi, are great. Sadly, Kurumi doesn’t think so, as she lacks self-confidence.
However, Hoota came as the phenomena came back in the exact location and the Magic Research club was trapped. Kurumi hesitated when she stopped at the entrance of the building, where Yuzu asked Kurumi to hold her hand. When Yuzu tried to do the spell, she couldn’t pull it off as she got captured by the fog. Now, it’s up to Kurumi to do it. She came close to doing it, but it didn’t work. Kyo tried to do his spell, but it had no effect. It seems as if they are doomed until they get saved by someone, as Kurumi sees a ray of blue light.
A handsome guy saved him, who is the school’s nurse. He looks after the place they are in until he changes into a cat after trying to reveal everything. Yep, he is the cat in charge of being the nurse. This shape-shifting cat only gives me more questions about who he is and what business he has with the purple-haired girl who turns into a dog.
After Kurumi and her friends celebrated New Year’s and had their countdown, Suzuki eventually visited Kurumi’s grandmother. Suzuki finds out that Kurumi’s grandmother is a magician and reveals that she was born to become one.
Yep, Kurumi’s grandmother attended Rettoran at the top of her class and thinks she has the power within her. The only reason Kurumi is losing confidence is that she doesn’t realize her true powers yet. Now, she is giving up, but can Suzuki stop her before she decides? Even Yuzu doesn’t want to give up. I feel that Kurumi is giving up too quickly, which frustrates me. Sure, she has setbacks with spells not working, but she should keep trying. As they say, if you give up, it won’t happen. Kurumi needs to keep trying, and eventually, it will happen. Maybe Suzuki will give the push she needs not to give up.
