Now that we are in a new year, of course, I plan to share what I plan to watch briefly before sharing my thoughts on 2025 and a plan for 2026.
As expected, this list is subject to change.
Winter 2026
“Omae Gotoki ga Maou ni Kateru to Omou na” to Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou Sareta node, Outo de Kimama ni Kurashitai
Air Date: January 9th, 2026
Studio: A.C.G.T.
The premise involves a lady being part of a hero’s party, despite having an ability that is useless in battle, with hardly any stats. After being sold into slavery due to being useless and being thrown to the monsters, she has no choice but to take a cursed sword and fight back. Of course, you might be wondering if there is a yuri part of it, and it probably has to do with a particular maid lady. I guess we’ll find out soon.
Android wa Keiken Ninzuu ni Hairimasu ka??
Air Date: January 10th, 2026
As the title suggests, an office lady who gets drunk and ends up buying a mail-order female love android. Well, it should be interesting to see how their relationship will play out.
Year in Review and Future Plans
I’m not sugarcoating it: 2025 was not a good year, or rather, a very rough one. Early in the year, things were chaotic with work, with having to return to the office five days a week. There was also a serious concern that job security might be very shaky. Thankfully, things eventually calmed down close to the end of summer. Some things, like the 16th-anniversary post, went by the wayside.
Thankfully, I survived 2025 despite all the chaos. I decided to take JLPT N3 instead of N2 since I wasn’t confident in my skills, and given the chaos, it was best to take an easier level. From taking it, it was a bit more manageable, and hopefully I will pass this time.
With that, for 2026, well, it’s going to be another chaotic year, maybe not as bad as 2025. Not sure what will happen in 2026, but hopefully I will pass N2 this time, as I plan to prepare earlier. As for other plans, it’s up in the air, but we’ll see given how 2026 plays out. Hopefully, I won’t forget my 17th anniversary post this year.
That said, I wish everyone a Happy New Year. Let’s hope that 2026 won’t be nearly as bad as 2025. Also, feel free to share what you plan to watch this winter.
