After Nana has to deal with a drunken Arisa who wants to become Nana’s wife, she is in a pickle. A young lady editor makes an offer to get featured in a particular magazine. However, when Kaede finds out, she doesn’t seem happy as Nana freaks out.
As Nana meets with Kaede to review her work, a particular brown-haired woman is watching them. Of course, she took a glance at Nana’s recently released manga volume, which piqued her interest. Nana eventually finds an email buried in her inbox from Setouchi Ruri, who wants to meet Nana about some kind of request.

While Nana thinks about meeting her, Mizuki seems suspicious, as she fears Nana will accept an offer without giving it much thought. Well, Nana almost did so as Ruri wants Nana to do a series for her magazine, even if it’s a one-shot. Nana, of course, has a hard time turning her down. After all, Nana thought Ruri had a personality similar to Touko’s.

When Nana hides under a desk because she doesn’t know how to tell Kaede what she did, Kaede actually calls. It’s funny how Mizuki and Airisa egg her on to have Nana tell her. When Kaede mentioned Ruri, Nana admitted it, and then Kaede said nothing and said she approved the storyboards. Nana really panicked about whether she actually cheated on Kaede or not.

Meanwhile, Kaede is furious with Ruri, and Shiori wonders what’s up with Kaede. Apparently, Kaede feels that she cheated on Nana. When she got to the elevator, Ruri wanted to talk to Kaede, who seemed annoyed by her. She is obviously not happy that Ruri is trying to take Nana away. What is interesting is that Ruri has been torn between her and Kaede, following Kaede everywhere, even to the same school and job. The funny thing is, Kaede allowed it, which is no wonder Ruri follows her. Funny how Shiori thinks that Ruri might have a thing for Kaede.

Obviously, Kaede has a grudge against Ruri for copying her research topic, which Kaede will never forgive. Obviously, Kaede shows jealousy towards Ruri, as Ruri seems to have more success in her career, working at a more popular magazine. Yes, the same one that Nana’s former editor was at before he dumped her, and Kaede got her instead. In a way, she wants to use Nana to prove to everyone that her theme and topic can work and become a long-running series.

In the end, Kaede decides to visit Nana. Nana, of course, can’t stop thinking about Kaede and the fact that she needs to make up to her. Eventually, Nana finally tells Kaede that she is turning down the offer Ruri made. But it’s evident to Kaede, as she blushes, that she only wants Nana to work for her. Funny how when Nana tells her intentions, Kaede really blushes. Yep, Kaede has a thing for Nana even more, which probably complicates Arisa’s desire to marry Nana. After all, she wants to live in the same apartment for that reason.
