Futatami Nana is a relatively new mangaka as she works to finish her manuscript really early in the morning with her roommate’s help. However, she seems anxious about sending it to her editor.
At last, Nana finished 8 pages of her manuscript. However, it’s very late at night, and she is not sure if it’s the appropriate time to send it to her editor, Satou Kaede. It’s amusing how her roommate, Hazama Mizuki, who is also a mangaka, has to encourage Nana to submit her manuscripts.
It’s amusing how Nana is reluctant to submit it due to being overly emotional, yet delays by trying to figure out a polite letter to “lessen the blow” of submitting it so early in the morning. The funny thing is that Mizuki said it’s okay to keep the email short and just attach the scanned manuscripts, as Nana is just making it too complicated. It’s not like Kaede will read the email before Kaede ends up faxing it anyway.
It’s amusing how Nana becomes upset with Mizuki for doing it without permission, as she is terrified that Kaede will end up having it. Well, if Nana doesn’t send it, she would probably get a worse reaction from her as a result. Believe it or not, Nana receives a phone call from Mizuki, and Mizuki forces Nana to answer it. Believe it or not, Nana’s editor, Kaede, seemed to like her work, although Nana needs to make some fixes. Funny how Nana cries in embarrassment afterwards, as she thought her editor would be harsh.
The next day, it’s evident that Kaede seems to like the work Nana is making and wants to complement her. However, she is unsure about how to do it, given Nana’s shyness. It’s amusing how Kaede’s coworker, Asakura Shiori, seems fascinated by Nana’s work as well.
Funny how Kaede blushes when Shiori becomes fascinated with Nana’s works. Of course, it doesn’t end there, as Shiori wants to tag along with Kaede to meet Nana. The funny thing is that Nana calls Kaede, as apparently the gate is closed and she got lost. Eventually, they ended up meeting her in person.
When Nana sees Shiori, she hides behind Kaede. Yes, Nana is timid, although Kaede has to say that Shiori is just her junior editor, as they have a meeting about the logo for the cover of the volume. Apparently, Kaede forgot them as she goes to get them, and Shiori tries to talk about the manga Nana is working on. Apparently, she compliments on her work and her favorite character as well.
Obviously, Nana feels somewhat disheartened that Kaede hasn’t complimented her work. It’s amusing how Shiori mentions that Kaede is also shy, kind, young at heart, and secretly loves Nana’s works. Shiori mentions that Kaede hasn’t complimented Nana’s works. She admits that she tries, but forgets, and it’s embarrassing, as she blushes. It’s pretty funny and cute. Nana seems sad that she hasn’t done it. That is, until Kaede dropped by Nana’s apartment at night, as Nana wonders if Kaede is just teasing her. After all, Nana believes that she is the lowest on the totem pole, as all the mangaka Kaede works with are well known.
Funny, when Kaede finally came to visit, Nana was blushing and asking why Kaede was at her house. Apparently, she doesn’t allow her in and instead decides to meet her somewhere as she grabs her manuscript. She apparently doesn’t want Mizuki to meet her. They eventually met at a restaurant, where she offered suggestions to Nana to improve her manga. Still, I must admit that Nana’s relationship with her editor, Kaede, is quite an interesting one, and Nana is quite amusing.
