After taking a glimpse of the past, we see Yoko traveling around with Airi in an abandoned Japan. They first visit Hakone, one of the places Chitose had visited. What will they find in the abandoned Hakone?
At the beginning of the episode, we saw two women riding on motorbikes as they filled up at a gas station. Of course, an old guy asks about the bike as it’s vintage. That is, until the young ladies finally finished filling up as they head off to their destination.

With that, we fast-forward to the future, where things appear abandoned with no signs of human life as Youko and Airi ride a bike. Of course, Youko loses at shiritori as they head to their destination, Hakone. We see Youko visit an abandoned cafeteria after setting up the solar panels to charge the bike. All she found was an overgrown tree inside and animals, too. She only discovered old canned foods and empty cans as well. It’s funny how she scares some bunnies eating grass next to her.

Eventually, Airi looks for Youko as she enters the abandoned cafeteria. Funny how Youko tries to sell herself serve and just give her an empty cup and a spoon in it. She said it’s imaginary for girls. Yep, Airi is not happy that Youko tricked her, as she acts like she wants to pay. Then again, what does she expect since there is no electricity, thus it’s not possible to make one.

That said, Youko and Airi eventually found a supply truck and found a bunch of rations. Sure, the bar is rock hard, but they find them delicious somehow. After bringing back the supplies, they eventually found an abandoned tank, as Youko sees the same sight that Chitose visited.

Somehow, Youko discovers cameras on the rank and somehow manages to activate them. Yes, the tank has AI in it as it moves on its own, saying some stuff before chasing Youko and Airi. Airi sensed that the tank would eventually attack them. They managed to get away on the bike, but the funny thing is, the tank continues to chase after them. Airi appears to be some kind of robot or cyborg, as she manages to launch an attack on the tank to stop it. Eventually, Youko went into the tank and found the dead remains of the soldier in the rank, and the AI was malfunctioning. Youko basically cut the wires.

Eventually, they relaxed at an abandoned hot springs, which is somehow intact. It’s nice to see some cappybaras there as they relaxed. Of course, throughout Youko’s time at Hakone, she saw visions of the time when Hakone was filled with tourists and bustling, in contrast to the dilapidated and abandoned state of the area now. Of course, we also see Chitose in those visions.

With that, Youko and Airi head to their next destination, which Chitose visited. As expected, while the world they inhabit is devoid of humans besides Youko and Airi, it’s interesting to see some hints that lead to the state the world is in. We see signs, hints of nuclear weapons, war, and, of course, artificial intelligence going rogue. No, we aren’t talking about LLMs, but somehow humanity is developing advanced artificial intelligence. Well, it doesn’t seem as weird compared to that anime that involves trains and 7G, but of course, I hope this won’t be our future eventually. With that, we’ll see what awaits at their destination.
