Tanigawa Ruri becomes obsessed with shiny objects, such as crystals, after seeing a crystal necklace in a shop. However, getting it is impossible, but there is an alternative.

As expected, Ruri is at a department store and in the jewelry section. Ruri likes a crystal necklace because of its shiny and pretty appearance. As Ruri gets excited by how good she looks in it, Aoi wants Ruri to give up on the idea, as she canβt afford it. Ruri thinks she can find people to buy it for her.

That didnβt work as her mother refuses to give her money for the necklace. Yep, she begs for it as she thinks itβs a rare item. That is when she realizes that her mother has been given crystals and gems from her grandfather and wonders if she still has them. Of course, she gave them away, and she got upset.

Then Ruri got the idea to find them, but she is not having luck. That is one until she finds a young lady with a hammer on her back asking if Rushi is okay. I find it interesting that Ruri becomes captivated by Nagiβs appearance. Not too surprising since Nagi is well-endowed. Also, itβs interesting that Aoi and the other girl are well-endowed compared to Ruri. She is interested in rocks and studies them. Eventually, they discover an area with numerous crystals and explain how they form.

Believe it or not, the various gems seem bountiful in Japan because itβs in the ring of fire, where the plates are the most active. At least Ruri got a nice sight of the crystal formations, and even got one that she wants. As Ruri discovers, there are areas where she canβt gather stones due to various reasons, including safety and environmental concerns. Funny how she gets into a tantrum before Nagi tells her to stop, or she canβt come with her anymore. They are also looking for garnets in a river. They eventually find some, until they discover an area with a large number of them.
That said, the first episode is enjoyable. Sure, Ruri gets into a lot of tantrums and can be a bit annoying, but at least she has found a new hobby. It shows when Ruri asks for tools instead of a crystal necklace. Additionally, the sites featuring gems and crystals are beautiful. That said, there were some lovely moments with Ruri and Nagi, especially when it involved Ruri blushing.
