As the spring season comes to a close, it’s time to take a look at the shows I plan to cover and share some life updates.
Bad Girl
Artist: Bridge
Air Date: July 6th
I have read two volumes of the manga, but believe it or not, it has yuri. After all, the main protagonist, Yuutani Yuu, a model student, decides to become a delinquent after developing a crush on Mizutori Atori, who is part of the morals committee. Yep, it’s obvious why Yuu tries to become a delinquent so she can get Atori to notice her. Either way, it should be yet another fun Kirara title.
Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Naijan, Murimuri! (※Muri ja Nakatta!?)
Air Date: July 8th
Studio: Studio Mother
Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Naijan, Murimuri! is yet another anticipated yuri anime adaptation. It involves Amaori Renako, who wants to become a normal girl with normal friends. Of course, Oozuka Mai has an attraction to Renako and wants to be more than just friends. Even so, there are probably more than Mai who have an attraction to her, but it should be interesting to see how the relationship or rather, Renako’s female harem, plays out.
CITY THE ANIMATION
Air Date: July 7th
Studio: Kyoto Animation
From the creator who worked on Nichijou, City is another slice-of-life show. It focuses on Midori, who struggles with her life in the city, burdened by unpaid debt and rent due. With her best friend unwilling to lend her money, she might have to work, which means less free time. It will be interesting to see how Midori’s life unfolds in the big city.
Food Court de, Mata Ashita.
Studio: Atelier Pontdarc
While only a 6-episode series, it follows the story of a Gyaru girl and a quiet, rich girl who befriended each other after school, meeting at a food court to discuss their lives. I probably won’t cover this, as it will be shared in the initial impressions and final review, given that it’s a short series. Nevertheless, it should be a fun one.
Utagoe wa Mille-Feuille
Studio: Jumondou
It’s a schoolgirl slice-of-life show that involves a cappella music project of the same title.
Ruri no Houseki
Studio: Studio Bind
Airdate: July 6th
It’s a slice-of-life show that involves Ruri, who loves jewelry and accessories, getting into mineral collecting.
Life Updates
You may be wondering why it’s taking me a long time to respond to comments and comment on other posts or why I didn’t create an anniversary post or did a Spring 2025 season preview. The fact of the matter is that this year has been somewhat chaotic. Without getting into specifics, the first half of the year was challenging with all the chaos and somewhat took a mental toll. It’s only recently that things have started to settle down. Of course, some of my free time has decreased as a result.
With that, I would like to become more involved with the anime blogging community. Given all the chaos, I haven’t been commenting or posting as much on social media. Moving forward, I aim to respond to comments promptly and make an effort to comment on others’ posts whenever possible. We are in it together.
That said, I managed to get a Switch 2, and I will eventually share my impressions on it soon.
Other Previews
With that, feel free to share what you plan to watch this season in the comments.
