The girls finally reach the last leg of their trip in Toyama. They visit a haunted bridge and, of course, come across a restaurant where they can enjoy soba.
At last, the last leg of the Toyama trip is here. Haruno decides to stop by the Nanagamari Bridge. They seem interested in that tree stump in the middle of the road, as there is folklore behind it, as it is said to have caused strange incidents to happen. It’s amusing how Kurokuma shows up to explain why people work around these trees.

There are several like this in Japan. It was due to an infamous tree from which people cut off the branches over the railroad tracks. As a result, trains were involved in more accidents. In short, they eventually leave it there, and priests may decide to leave it there if it leads to bad luck with its removal. The funny thing is that when Kurokuma finishes explaining them, she disappears. It gets funnier when Haruno texts her if she came by, and well, she was at home all day. Is it because of that tree that she appeared out of nowhere? It gives the girls a good scare.

Either way, they camped for the night, having instant soba with a prepared soup base and a tub of wasabi. The next day, they went up to a temple, which is located on a hill and has many stairs. They went to a restaurant where they made their soba. It makes sense to see Haruno paired up with Kako while Satsuki, An, and Shikishima worked as a team. I figured that Haruno would make her soba noodles in the shape of a cat’s face since cats are her favorite. Also, it’s funny to see her slip some mini cat-faced noodles into the mix.

Lastly, Satsuki, An, and Shikishima went into a Ninja house. It is funny how Satsuki gets scared of a fake ninja while An activates a trap-spinning door and gets separated from Satsuki. Additionally, she had phony bamboo spears at her disposal. The funny thing is that Shikishima manages to figure out how to get through the ninja house somehow. It’s weird how Haruno and Kako got stuck behind bars in the ninja house and can’t figure out how to get out.

With that, the Toyama trip and summer break come to an end, as Haruno now has a lot of material to work with for her manga. As Satsuki, An, and Shikishima eventually start figuring out their plans as they are going to be third-year students, it’s interesting to see that Haruno knew she wanted to be a mangaka from the first year of high school. Of course, she didn’t know how much work it was going to be to become one. Additionally, Kako embarked on her journey back home to Hokkaido after parting ways with Haruno and the girls. It’s amusing to see Haruno’s reaction when she discovers that Kako has quit her job. I wonder what motivated her to quit her job and go on a 15-day trip afterward.
