After Haruno has a donburi walk with the mangaka, she knows summer is about to come to an end. With that, they decide to take a hike to the Kengamine summit on Mt. Norikura and also take some skateboarding videos.
With summer break almost coming to an end, it’s funny how An is the only one who hasn’t done her homework. That said, Haruno is considering another research trip to gather ideas for her manga. Eventually, An has the idea to go to Mt. Norikura as she wants to take a skateboarding video riding down the Norikura Skyline.

The winding road to Mt. Norikura is only accessible by bus and is closed to cars due to environmental concerns. However, you can use other modes of transportation, which include skateboarding. Yes, An has an idea from watching all those skateboarding videos that she wants to try it herself. However, recording it can be tricky as An doesn’t own a drone and using a selfie stick is out of the question. Thankfully, Shikishima also knows how to skateboard well enough to help An record the video. Yes, she had to prove to herself that she could do it before committing to it.
That said, Satsuki, An, Shikishima and Haruno went to Mt. Amari for An to practice before doing the real thing. They realize how hot it is, and there are warnings for bear sightings on signs. After climbing Mt. Amari peak, they were rewarded with a nice view despite the heat. An, of course, still figures out where to put the camera.

The funny thing is that Kurokuma shows up in her fancy car. She is researching the Pond Sawara, specifically the sword that appears after the lake dries up, and its connection to snakes, which is sealed as a result of the sword. Of course, she also mentions various legends from around the area. As a result of the owner releasing them, are they causing mayhem, or are they made up?

When they reached the Pond Sawara, the girls started seeing things and became freaked out. That is, besides seeing Anko, Kurokuma’s cat, who gets into a fight with Taishou later on after the girls come back to the parking lot where the cats took An’s and Shikishima’s skateboard and rode down the winding road. Of course, An records it all, but in reality, the cats jumped off the skateboards as they flew off the road. After that, Anko and Taishou continued their fight. It would make a cool video if the cats could skateboard down the road without falling off.

I find it amusing that there was a scene of Rin and Nadeshiko grilling frogs and pork skewers in the thick fog. Eventually, the girls see a popsicle stick that they think is a sword, but they say “winner” on it. Kurokuma believes that the girls are scared because of the horror stories they know are not there. Of course, she warns them not to seek out the actual ones. That said, Shikishima got a winning popsicle stick.

The next day, Satsuki, An, Shikishima, and Haruno made the bus trip up Mt. Norikura. They got to see lovely views. The funny thing is that when they arrived at Maou Park, it was windy. They wanted to make it up there, but it’s too windy as Shikishima is being blown away, and the girls have to make sure she doesn’t get blown away.
Also, the flower field doesn’t have any flowers since it is only vegetation, mainly short pine trees. It’s interesting that it already has pinecones. The only reason they are short is because of the wind, which keeps them short; thus, they grow close to the ground. Kako never showed up, as she had overslept.

That said, An and Shikishima skated down to the parking lot while making the video. While they had fun, it’s obvious they overshot their destination because they were having such a great time.
