After Yuri receives her burial, the girls figure out their next destination. Of course, it started getting cold and cold and snowing a lot.
Last time, Renge witnessed her Andvari merge with Yuri’s. As a result, she sees visions of Yuri, but she can’t be sure what it is. Of course, Sanzaka realizes that it’s snowing during spring. Yes, it can snow in spring, but it’s rare and, in this instance, very unusual. Then again, it’s unsurprising that the world is changing due to the wild hunts.
As the snowstorm worsens, they take shelter in a school they saw in one of Shitoron(‘s photos. Of course, the school, as expected, has a home recreation room. Yep, Renge gets excited over the possibility of being able to cook. Of course, they are running low on supplies, so that is something they will eventually need to get more food. Unsurprisingly, the robots there maintained the place.
I admit that this is starting to feel like Gakkou Gurashi as they take shelter in a school in an apocalyptic future. Sure, Sanzaka turns off the light so she can tell ghost stories, which gets Ayane upset. Hinageshi, of course, told one too. However, when the lights went out for real, as Sanzaka said, she didn’t turn off the lights this time.
Ayane insists on helping fix the robots as the snowstorm rages. Of course, Sanzaka wants to check on them, and she can handle everything independently. That is when the school gets cold, and Renge and Sanzaka get worried. They look for Ayane, but of course, they discover a classroom with dead students. Even if the Wild Hunt doesn’t get them, it’s obvious that starvation will eventually get them, as is evident in the notebook and motionless bodies. Seeing this, of course, makes Sanzaka even more worried.
Of course, we learn more about Sanzaka’s relationship with Ayane. Of course, they know each other, but Ayane seems to receive a lot of admiration from her classmates, and she is alone most of the time. It only changed when Sanzaka became open and cheerful, and she made more friends. However, during middle school, she started reading books alone, and Sanzaka didn’t talk to her that much until the world went wild. That is when, of course, Yuri brought them back together.
Eventually, Ayane manages to get all the rat robots unstuck. However, she didn’t realize that she screwed up. Eventually, Sanzaka finds her, and we see a lovely moment when they are together. Sanzaka used her body to warm Ayane up and give her a candy bar. Ayane started crying as she was not confident she could be as good a leader as Yuri.
As expected, Sanzaka is relieved since Ayane is safe and happy the old Ayane is still here. Of course, they mention how much they grew. At least they finally address each other by their first names, but it’s obvious why Sanzaka called Ayana Class Rep. Yep, it’s because of respect, and Sanzaka is smart. Still, it’s nice to see Ayane finally regain confidence in being a leader despite not being as strong as Yuri. As expected, knowing some yuri between Ayane and Sanzaka is nice. I guess the pairing between Hinageshi and Erika won’t be that far soon.
When Sanzaka and Ayane eventually came back, Range did her cooking, this time, corned beef ramen. Of course, she feels a funny sensation as sparks come from her Andvari. I wonder what that is about. We’ll see soon enough.
