With her favorite gacha game-ending service, Aoba Minami, a high school student, has to find another activity. However, finding the right one might be tricky. That is until she went to a golfing range.
The episode starts with Minami complaining that her favorite gacha game announced that the service will end soon. As mentioned in a recent post on social media, it’s all too common and relatable. You spend hours on the Gacha game and even money with the service just to end in the end, and all that effort goes down the drain.
Can relate so many times when a Gacha ends service on me.
(Like, well Magia Record and Kirara Fantasia)
With that, she has nothing to do, as her friend, Izumi, suggests she try various clubs. She is going to the Shougi Club. The funny thing is that Minami tries out various sports-related clubs, but it doesn’t go well. She manages to mess up in non-athletic clubs as well.
In the end, Minami feels frustrated as she lacks skills. It’s funny how she thinks her life is like a video game as she begs Izumi not to leave her behind. Of course, Izumi encourages her that the world is vast and she is bound to find something.
After reading many books, she still hasn’t found anything until she finds an old man holding a bag and having back problems. Minami offers to help him bring it to the golf range. That is when Minami saw a young lady golfing in the golfing range. Minami became so captivated by her swing that she dropped the bag before bringing it to the old man.
Eventually, that golfing lady notices Minami and introduces herself as Akane Haruka. She asks if she wants to try doing a shot. As expected, Minami couldn’t hit the ball until Haruka showed her how to do it and encouraged her that with practice, she would get better at it. Eventually, Minami hit the ball.
While Minami hit it, it didn’t go that far. She is about to give up before Haruka encourages people of all types to play golf, and Minami doesn’t have to be athletic to play it. That is until her manager caught her goofing off with an angry look. With Haruka’s charm, she assumes that Minami will come back.
When Minami did more research while taking a bath and watching a video from Hoshimin, her brother wondered what she was doing. That is, until their mother tells them to go to bed. After what happened yesterday, Haruka pulled her in as Minami told Izumi about her interest in golf. Izumi says that only old men play golf, although Minami says it’s the same with Shougi,
Minami shows how motivated she is when school ends. She dashes out and heads to the driving range. Somehow, Haruka found Minami and assumed that Minami was interested in it, so she gave her a golf glove. I see her reaction to Haruka as cute, although it makes it appear that Minami might have feelings for Haruka.
During Haruka’s session with Minami, Minami practiced swinging with a towel and ended up hitting herself with the towel. That is before Minami used the real golf club and managed to hit the ball pretty far. Minami gets excited over the ball flying, and Haruka asks if golf is fun. Minami tells her that she is finding something special that she can become a protagonist of.
Haruka figured it was some discovery as Minami asked why Haruka liked golf. While Haruka faces difficulties, she has the goal of eventually making the ultimate shot so everything balances out in the end. Minami wonders if it will fit her well, and Haruka thinks so too.
That is when Haruka drags her to a golf course and has her wear an outfit for golfing. Minami wonders why she is at a golf course as she meets the old guys again. Yep, Haruka is having Minami play on an actual golf course. The question is, can she get it into the hole? I feel where this is going, but how well will Minami fare? We’ll see next time.
