After Kana helps Hitomi defeat Kaii in an office building, Hitomi takes her to the Magilumiere office building. Of course, after Kana sees a middle-aged man dressed as a magical girl, she goes in for a fun time.
From the last time, Kana finally sees the president of Magilumiere, and she sees a middle-aged guy dressed as a magical girl. Still, I’m pretty surprised by how he pulled it off and even grew his hair very long, although Kana seems shocked. His name is Shigemoto, and he is the president. The funny thing is that Hitomi and Kaede, who work in sales, see this as usual. There is also Nikoyama, who is on his laptop, and he programs and develops all the girls’ devices.
When Kana is introduced to everyone in the company, she has second thoughts, given her first impressions. Eventually, Kaede gives her a Broomstick, used as a primary form of transport. Even though it was pretty high-tech, Kana thought maybe she should give it a ride, and she could perhaps quit afterward. She doesn’t seem confident at first. Kaede says that Kana has to get used to it as they are a startup. In other words, they don’t have time to spend time training. Kaede gives her a bunch of books to read to operate the device.
As expected, Hitomi decides to take Kana flying for practical experience. Kana manages to get into a tree, a bush, and a building. Hitori is not a great teacher, so Kana decides to hit the books instead. It’s kind of understandable, but after all, it’s not surprising since she has a good memory, although she views herself as a “run-of-the-mill” kind of girl. The question is whether Kana will become confident enough to operate the Broom.
Eventually, Shigemoto arranged an easy job for Kana and Hitomi to do to show Kana the ropes. Of course, we see Kana not having confidence as she is not ready to operate the Broom, although Hitomi ensures she can do it. After all, Shigemoto recalls the time that Kana was able to manage that magical device Hitomi was using. Sure, Kana says that she knew how to use it by chance. Yep, he is trying to convince her that Kana can apply her knowledge to a given situation. Eventually, she decides to give it a try.
Of course, Nikoyama finally gets excited as he gets her height and shoe size from looking at her. Eventually, he programmed the transformation device for Kana, and she got to observe her transformation for the first time. Yep, it’s funny how the guys there became overly emotional, and it turned out well.
As for the job, Kana didn’t do much as she observed Hitomi facing off the Kaii and saving the trapped worker on the affected flour. However, Kana noticed that Hitomi’s Broom had a crack on the rear, which could break at any moment, from her knowledge. Hitomi neglects to have her Broom replaced before it’s too late. She is overworking herself to the limits.
With that, Kana decides to use a feature that the Broom has. Yes, to use it as a weapon to shoot a single magic shot. Hitomi realizes what she is doing. Although Hitomi doesn’t think Kana can do it, she eventually trusts what Kana is doing, so she withdraws and lets Kana handle the rest. Believe it or not, her shot defeated the Kaii, allowing Kana to capture it. It’s funny how Shigemoto tears up after seeing Kana pull off such a shot.
Overall, it’s nice to see Kana finally feeling more confident as she managed to fire magic just like that. As expected, Shigemoto receives a scolding for breaking conventions. Either way, he takes responsibility for the company’s actions and tells her not to worry. The funny thing is that Nikoyama, Kaede, and Shigemoto are already in tears. With that, I think Kana will fit right in.
