It’s Kino Himari’s first day at school. With Miki being in the same school, Himari seems excited. However, she becomes enamored after seeing the lead singer of a light music club performing on stage. You might be wondering how things go after Asanagi Yori receives what might be a love confession.
As expected, seeing the moments right before that faithful moment is excellent. It was cute to see Himari’s pet cat, Marota, try to wake her up. Thankfully, she got to school on time, as she considers Miki a childhood friend. Miki’s older sister is in the Light Music Club band, who plays the bass.
Of course, Yori is just performing as a stand-in for the Light Music Club’s band. Of course, she seems nervous, with her heart pounding out of her chest. Yori is not excellent at performing in front of the audience. Still, the performance turned out better than expected as well. Himari seemed to like Yori’s singing as she looked cool. Miki has to return Himari to reality, but she has her mind on Yori rather than Miki’s older sister. Yep, Himari said she fell in love at first sight.
Meanwhile, Yori had a party with the band. They try bribing Yori to join the band, even using her limited-edition cat pouch. None of the cat goodies are going to sway her. She is better off singing alone rather than in a band. Of course, the band wants Yori to write an original song, especially a love song. Of course, Yori didn’t know anything about love until she met Himari by the shoe locker.
We see that moment as she notices Yori and gushes over her performance. Of course, Yori is modest until Himari says she fell in love with that song at first sight. That feeling inside Yori awakened her. Is this love that she is experiencing from this confession? Not only that, but she also finds Himari cute, especially when she smiles. Himari ran off, happy that she had talked to her. Yep, Yori thought love had nothing to do with her until now.
Of course, Yori met with Aki, Kaori, and Maa. Yep, Yori shared how she felt when she fell for Himari after she confessed to her. As expected, Yori seems flustered when talking about it, besides admitting that Himari was cute. She couldn’t say she fell in love at first sight when they thought it was love, and eventually admitted to it. It’s funny to see Kaori hug her after it. Yori’s reactions to admitting it and Kaori hugging her are cute.
Meanwhile, while Miki eats her lunch, she notices something is up with Himari getting excited over talking to Yori. She said that she fell in love at first sight. Miki, of course, knows about Yori from her older sister, Aki. Hearing this excites Himari until she discovers that Yori is simply a substitute. Himari becomes disappointed that she might be unable to listen to her sing until she finds out she sings on the roof.
After Yori shared how she felt, she still didn’t know the girl’s name until Himari met her on the roof. She finally reveals her name, and Yori admits to falling in love with Himari at first sight. The thing is, Himari fell in love with Yori’s singing, in other words, becoming Yori’s Oshi instead of falling in love with her romantically. Oof, that got to be disappointing for Yori as she becomes embarrassed. Even so, despite Himari’s cute smile, she is determined to make her fall in love with her no matter what. Yes, in exchange for singing to Himari every day. The next day, Yori sees Himari from behind, and Himari seems surprised as she seems happy. Yep, Himari talked about how nice Yori is.
Yori’s friends seem to support Yori in trying to get Himari to fall for her despite her seeing Yori as her Oshi. I guess it’s only a matter of time, but I think it will take some time. Perhaps if Himari learns more about Yori, it will work out.
Of course, Yori can’t stop falling for how cute Himari is as they talk on the roof after school and perform a song for her. After all, those feelings for Himari won’t go away anytime soon, but I guess she should make the best of it. It’s only a matter of time until Himari returns her feelings that are more than just being an Oshi.

Whisper Me a Love Song Episode 1: Breaking the Classic Mold – The Yuri Empire
First Impression: Whisper Me a Love Song – Beneath the Tangles (First Impressions)
I liked the twist on the classic formula where it’s the token beautiful tall girl chasing after the cutie protagonist. Very excited to see how their relationship develops.
Also interested to see Aki’s story and the other potential side-couples based on the OP.
Yep, it was a twist that the protagonist first year girl, Himari only loves Yori’s sing, but it’s interesting to see a senior girl fall in love wth a junior one. I admit, Yori’s reactions are really cute, and should be interesting to see how this pairing will develop.
Should be interesting to learn more about the other characters as well, and of course Maa X Kaori.
