Now that Umika decides she will try harder, the girls continue preparing for the upcoming rocket launch contest. Of course, things hit a nerve with Matataki and her members with days left.
You might be wondering what Matataki is doing with all those eggs. She is cracking them into a bowl so they won’t waste. Still, it’s a good thing that egg prices are going down. They are testing prototypes to keep the egg safe in the payload from cracking after recovery. Apparently, the prototypes aren’t quite working well.
I find it funny how Emihara gets upset over all those wasted eggs, and the girls must explain what they are doing. Of course, they revealed that if the eggs crack, they are disqualified. The launch tests aren’t going well, as Matataki hasn’t gotten the proper size or design. That is before she demands Emihara to buy more eggs. She better buy them in bulk. They are going to need it.
After the failed launches, Haruno brought the bowl of raw eggs from the refrigerator to the home ec class. I find it funny how Matataki isn’t paying attention as Haruno puts an apron on Matataki without her realizing. Seeing her reaction is amusing, as she wants Yuu to drink the eggs raw.
Apparently, it’s just Matataki and Haruno, as Umika is meeting with someone while Yuu has remedial classes. It’s a lovely bonding moment between Matataki and Haruno as they make chiffon cakes. Matataki thinks this is a waste of time before she goes along with it. Apparently, Haruno got Matataki to mix for Haruno after losing rock paper scissors 8 times.
As expected, Matataki says she has to win this championship since who will send a rocket to space when they don’t. Yep, Haruno eventually takes the bowl away. Still, she realizes Matataki wouldn’t talk to her before, and now, they are baking cakes together. Yep, it shows how much their relationship has developed. Of course, she points out that beating someone is not all there is to win, but it’s still a previous victory if someone gains something out of it. The funny thing is that Matataki is surprised there is nothing that Haruno hates.
With that, Yuu peeked in, seeing what was happening as she waited for the cakes. It’s funny how Emihara chases after Yuu for not finishing her remedial classes. At least the cakes are delicious, though. Not to mention, they have plenty. Of course, Matataki has the idea of improving the housing capsule, changing the parachute material, and making other changes. It’s funny that Umika thinks the same. At least they got the design right before summer break. Also, it’s funny how Matataki tries to take Yuu’s sweater off because she thinks it’s too hot on her, yet her skin temperature is nice and dry.
The next day, Matataki gets frustrated as the girls aren’t putting the rocket together correctly. Matataki gets upset at Umika for pasting the parts incorrectly. Yuu complains about how Matataki only gets angry and doesn’t teach them anything. Matataki lashes out at Umika for apologizing as she runs out crying. Umika is crying, saying she must be strong before Yuu talks to him. She wants to smooth her feelings despite Umika pushing her back before hiding it as she runs back in. Of course, Haruno talked to Matataki as Matataki opened the Umika’s notebook. She sees that Umika is trying her best, especially after seeing the message about winning the competition. That is before Umika returns and promises not to mess up again, as she will keep practicing if it is hard for Matataki to teach. Matataki admits she won’t stop her teammates from building as she will teach them the basics. Thankfully, things are back on track despite this setback.
Eventually, it’s time as they finally present the Ultra High-Power Dream rocket, which looks like space. Of course, Matataki thinks it’s a corny name, but they can’t change it anymore since Umika settled on it. I wonder what he will face in the speech.
With that, for the contest, they must reach a target altitude and time set beforehand to get a store. The lowest score wins, which, of course, is close to the target. Of course, Kei’s team is participating too. Of course, Matataki hasn’t forgotten about that bet she made with Kei last time. Kei has her wallet on her this time, but I wonder if Umika’s team can pull it off. We’ll see next time. It’s funny to see Emihara ask the girls how they prepare for their exams. It’s weird how Matataki and Yuu are in trouble with their exam preparations.

I want HaruTaki to become a thing SO BADLY! Side-couples I like always do this to me.
Bad Umi-Kaichou! I know it’s part of her development but pushing Yu away wasn’t cool. You better repay her big time after the tournament. Speaking of the tournament I’m excited for it.
Agreed, the HaruTaki moments here are so good.
I guess there got to be a reason why Umika doesn’t want to do the forhead kiss, well see soon enough.
