With Komari setting off her Core Implosion and thus defeating Delphyne in the process and Sakuna defeating Flote, what happened to Sakuna that caused her to get involved with Inverse Moon?
As we find out, before Sakuna intends to kill Komari, she shows Komari her personal memories. We see that she had an older sister named Komari too. They are a loving family, except that they got killed with a ritual article sparing only Sakuna. That way, they can force Sakuna into the Inverse Moon and have her do her bidding. Still, it’s obvious to feel very sympathetic to her. No matter how much bidding she will do, her parents will never come back
After Sakuna reveals her memories to Komari, she wants to manipulate her mind, so she thinks Komari is her older sister. Of course, Sakuna stops her from doing what would be rude to Sakuna’s older sister. With that, Komari will let Sakuna treat her as her new older sister. Sakuna seems happy after Komari allows her to do it.
With that, we finally figured out who was the perpetrator who killed off Sakuna’s family and forced her to join Inverse Moon. It’s Odilon, one of the Crimson Lords who joined Flote’s vote to kick Komari out and face death by explosion. We know that Vill prevented that fate, but nobody knew there was a mole in the Crimson Lord trying to manipulate Sakuna into doing the Inverse Moon’s bidding.
With that, Sakuna is unwilling to do Odilon’s nor Inverse Moon’s bidding. She drank that elixir to get a nice power-up and give him a beating. Sadly, right about Sakuna defeating Odilon, the adverse effects of the elixir kick in. Is this the end of Komari and Sakuna?
After remembering what Millicent said about giving Komari blood, she did that. Of course, Komari needed more as she drank Sakuna’s blood and healed her afterward. It’s obvious already that Komari’s Core Imposion’s effects act differently depending on the blood Komari drinks. That is why Komari didn’t cause a massive explosion when she drank Sakuna’s compared to Delphyne’s.
As expected, she was relentless on Odilon, telling him to apologize to Sakuna. Obviously, Odilon refuses to as he loses his limb and eventually his sword after Komari turns it to ice. Yep, he is pretty much screwed as she tries to retreat. Sakuna used her core implosion to brainwash his minions to turn them against Odilon. I admit that is satisfying, although Odilon kills all of them when they attempt to betray him.
While that is not enough, Odilon killed off all his tools. Now he is in a worse position until Komari shows up after poking his back. He still refuses to apologize as Komari breaks his neck, thus killing him while causing a big explosion. We know who won as Odilon is the biggest loser and even faces a death worse than just being exploded.
A few days later, it’s finally nice to see Vill trying to nurse Komari back to health. Also, Karen pardoned Sakuna since she was used as a pawn. Also, she didn’t really have a choice until she got the chance to quit and kill the perpetrator. The funny thing is that Komari probably had the least injuries compared to Vill. Still, what comes next gets Vill very jealous. Sakuna becomes friends with Komari and promises to come over when Komari needs her.
We also find out that the priest isn’t the bad guy as he is the friend of Sakuna’s father. He thought about getting rid of Odilon, but knowing that Sakuna would avenge her family’s death, he didn’t interfere. Still, he is happy that Sakuna made a new friend, although at Vill’s expense, as she has competition.
If you thought Odilon’s failure was a setback, they aren’t finished yet. After messing with Komari two times, have they learned their lesson yet? I wonder what else they have up their sleeves.

The Vexations of a Shut-in Vampire Princess Episode 8: Silver Salvation – The Yuri Empire
Great conclusion to the Sakuna arc. The harem officially grew and we’re elated.
Komari’s mom was as gorgeous as expected. Empress Karen promised to take care of her daughter and surely wants to sleep with her too. The “Failed with the mother so the daughter is the next best thing” type.
Badass Komari is so bleeping cool. Enjoyed seeing Macho Lord get what he deserved.
Annoyed we have to wait an extra week for what I hope will be the most anticipated episode of the season. Patience.
Yep, it’s nice to see Sakuna join Komari’s harem, although at Vill’s expense, although she is in it for a long game.
Seeing Core Implosion Komari is nice, especially defeating Odilon. Also, funny how Sakuna turns Odilon‘s soldiers against him too. Yes, Odilon deserved what he got.
