After Rae talked with her friends, it’s now onto the magic practical lesson. Of course, a blue slime monster appears out of nowhere.
The renowned teacher Torrid Magic teaches a practical magical class in this episode. Students practice their magic and learn how magic and magic tools work. They know about the magical stones, which Lene’s family distributes and mines the stones. Of course, monsters can come about from these stones when they eat them, as we see later. Like with any role-playing game, there are four elements. Water, fire, earth, and wind. We know the compatibility of all of them, and some elements can be used for healing or support.
As expected, Rae does not pretend to be bad at using magic. She basically used her full power and broke the target. I find it funny how everyone becomes surprised, given that Rae didn’t break the target. Yet, her magical affinity is marked as unmeasurable from the exams. Rae holds herself back so she doesn’t accidentally have Rod notice her abilities.
After Claire shows her magical skills, Rod asks Rae if she will take the Academy Knights exam. It’s an organization that protects the schools from monsters and resolves conflicts with students. Rae didn’t think about taking the exam until she felt that if she could get in, she could protect Claire. Of course, Claire is going to take the exam. Still, the imagination from Rae saving Claire and Claire changing into an armored dress is funny.
Eventually, a colossal slime appears. Rae ultimately uses her earth magic to help Torrid to suppress the slime monster and a chance to defeat it. Of course, they eventually grab all the students, including Claire. Rae has a choice, and a new one came out, Claire to help her. I find it funny how she managed to get out of the tentacles.
If you remember what happened last time, this is another instance of Rae doing to make her beloved happy. However, this means that she never has love returned back to her. This is the case as Thane and Claire helped save the students and defeat the slime monster.
While Claire seems happy, Rae acts strange, running into the forest to find the small slime monster. Yes, the giant slime monster was its mother. But of course, she forms a pact with it and names it Ralaire. Yep, it’s named after a combination of her name and Claire’s.
When she returned, she had an intimate moment with Thane. Rae wants to run away until she snaps a twig, and Claire notices. Claire runs to Rae as she seems worried about her. Yep, Claire blew her chance to win over Thane’s heart. Also, we see signs of Claire defrosting as she complements Rae in helping keep the monster in one place.
After the credits, it appears that Rae has some trouble training Ralaire. Misha discovers and helps Rae train it after learning how cute it is. That is until Claire came into Rae’s room and learned about Ralaire. She screams, but Claire will finally get an introduction to it next time. Also, we get to see the Academy Knights exams, including the “duel” with Claire and Rae. I bet Claire made yet another challenge: if Rae loses, she has to leave the academy type of deal again. It’s obvious where this is heading.

Rae’s love for Claire was more than justified after this episode. We already knew she had great taste but wowie zowie. Badass Claire was most excellent, as was she sexy in armor. Claire is love. So much love.
The second adopted creature daughter named after her future moms’ ship name. How wonderful.
Yep, they are still a great pairing and yes, I agree that she look nice in that armor.
The slime is a cute addition too.
