Now that It’s MyGo finally had their performance, they celebrate. Of course, Saki makes the final preparations behind the scenes to create her own band.
At last, MyGo finally finished their first actual performance. I find it cute how Rana really wanted the macha parfait during their party. Still, hearing Soyo’s answer on how the girls will do the band thing for a lifetime is interesting. Obviously, they need to maintain their health, and it’s funny to see the answer to how they will accomplish it. Eating stuff with Macha, of course. Also, it’s interesting to see Soyo take Tomori home and finally admit to being self-centered and coming clean to it. She won’t be able to forget about their former band.
Of course, Tomori takes Anon to the aquarium again. Before that, Tomori’s reaction to Saki after Tomori tried to offer the notebook containing the lyrics for that song. Saki banged on the piano and said, “I hope you’ll be very happy,” before walking away. It’s evident that Saki wants nothing to do with Tomori now and the previous band.
At the aquarium, Anon gives back a box of bandaids and mentions how Tomori helped her. I have a feeling that Anon and Tomori might make a good pairing. After all, they visited an aquarium, a popular Yuri anime/manga dating site. Also, Uika runs into Anon and Tomori. Anon is surprised that Uika knows Tomori’s name. Anon doesn’t know about Uika’s interaction with Tomori when she keeps the band going and puts the pieces back together.
As for the last part, Saki decides to create her own band, which has Matsumi, who betrayed Soyo and three other members. Saki’s childhood friend, Uika, the Girl Band Influencer, Nyamu, and a freelance guitarist, Umiri. It’s part of Saki’s new band, Ave Mujica, which has a dark feeling as the girls wear masks and hide their identities.
In addition to having stage names similar to “RAISE A SUILEN,” but taken to another level, Saki doesn’t want the illusion of being a mysterious band broken. I have a feeling someone will accidentally mess up and reveal their identity. There might be a reason why Saki returns home and sees her father drinking again. I wonder if this has to do with Saki breaking up CRYCHIC initially. The Ave Mujica will probably be even darker than MyGo with its drama, but we’ll see when it happens.
Final Thoughts
BanG Dream It’s MyGO is an interesting spinoff as it doesn’t focus on the usual comedy and the more light-hearted moments of the three installments of the main seasons. Sure, I feel the drama is stretched out, but it shows how many issues each girl has, which gives them the feeling of being lost. Overall, it turned out well.
Of course, Rana has the least issues since she is a stray cat. Still, it’s interesting that she is Space’s owner’s granddaughter. It’s not surprising, given her guitar-playing skills and appearance similar to Tsuzuki Shifune. Still, I admit the music is good. However, seeing the characters develop despite the dragged-out drama should be interesting.
