After Tomori managed to bring back the band together through an emotional performance, it’s finally nice to see a happier tone in this episode. That is while there is another performance since Tomori is on a roll. Of course, they can’t keep playing the same song and not have a name for their band? It’s obvious where this is heading, right?
As expected, except for Rana, the girls cried after their performance. Also, Soyo admits she is lost despite wanting to put an end to this. After Soyo acknowledges that she doesn’t know what to do now since the girls know she used them, she is lost. Still, it’s cute how Tomori insists on doing a band for a lifetime, regardless.
The next day, Soyo rejoins the texting group for the band as Umiri sees jealousy in Taki. Believe it or not, Uika is in the same class as Taki, which is interesting. The funny thing is Rana wants to do a live, and Anon has to bribe her with candy. Soyo showed up at practice as Rana still insisted on doing another performance. That is when Tomori admits to seeing Uika and finding out that Soyo was lost all along. We find out that Anon practiced despite “quitting the band.”
We found out that the performance is still on for this weekend. Tomori forgot to take her name off the list. Still, they can’t keep playing the same song. Even after some thinking, they ultimately went along with it by doing the impossible. Taki pushes herself to the limit by composing the instrumentals while Tomori works on the lyrics.
Also, Anon decides on the costumes and the name of the band. I find it funny how she wants to call the band “Anon Tokyo.” That seems unoriginal. Also, the outfits she decided on aren’t really costumes but outfits.
We learn more about Rana when Anon breaks her guitar pick. Rana lent hers. It has the name of Live House Space. Rana said her grandmother ran it. Wait, she is Tsuzuki Shifune’s grandchild, who has high standards for accepting bands. After all, she denied Poppin’ Party’s passing the audition two times. This can explain why Rana is good at playing the guitar, as Shifune might have taught her. Still, Rana thought it would last a lifetime, but it didn’t, which made her sad.
Eventually, the girls pulled through as they finished the costume just in time. I find it funny that Soyo gets upset over having her costume cut in half. At least they decided on a name as Anon looks at a page. Yes, they named it Maigo (迷子) or Mygo. We finally reached full circle. It’s a breath of fresh air not having yet another drama episode, and it’s nice to see them finally be a band. We will see the birth of the new bar in the next and last episode.
