Now that Yohane is in a challenging situation with some presence entrapping her. Can she manage to get out of this situation? Also, what are those masked girls?
Either way, I won’t explain after the credits. Apparently, Yohane got captured by the strange shadow. Of course, three strange squads of three that call themselves Million Dollar. They purify the animals that are captured by the strange phenomena. Of course, they look familiar as Yohane recognizes that it’s Chika and her older sisters, Shima and Mito. Of course, they deny they are what they are, although their disguises are paper thin. The voice from the robot and Chika’s mother taking a gadget off while at the inn makes it obvious. How can I forget? Chika uses an ocarina to purify the deer, and Shima and Mito use a special weapon to repel the dark fog.
Sadly, the two deers attacked Shima and Mito as their weapons were weak. In short, Dia and Ruby come onto the scene. Dia looks like a Super Sentai or a mecha wearing that suit, as she has a souped-up motorcycle that Ruby can merge into. Dia uses a powerful sword to get rid of the dark fog.
Of course, Chika gets into an argument after Dia saves her. Funny how they deny their true identities. Yohane has to come in and break up their arguments so they can work together to purify the deer. Yohane was urged to help out after two deer tried to beg for her to save the other two. Still a remarkable scene, nevertheless, with the music that matches the moment.
With that, she played the ocarina that Chika dropped as Chika and Dia dealt with the remaining deer under the influence. Together, they purified the remaining two deers, and four marks appeared on Yohane’s staff. I guess the meaning behind it will get explained later.
After dealing with those deers, Dia introduces Ruby to Yohane. Apparently, Dia is investigating these phenomena behind the scenes before the citizens notice it. Of course, Yohane doesn’t know about the staff that came from a stick is all about. Chika’s mother tells her to visit the “demon lord” to learn more about it.
Of course, Yohane, with Lailaps, visits Warshimer Island, where the demon lord lives. However, it’s not a demon lord’s castle but a mansion with many sea creatures. In fact, the so-called “Demon Lord” is just Mari, who is pretty lonely. She knows about Yohane since she can listen to everything from the town thanks to her horns. The horns give Mari the reputation of a Demon Lord despite having no evil powers. She notices those awful sounds, too, sometimes, which can affect animals and children.
When Yohane asks about her powers, Mari says it’s her Resonance and Yohane can save Numazu with her new powers. Of course, Yohane doesn’t want to be in that town, nor does she not think she can save Numazu despite helping out. After all, she wants to go back to the city. After all, if the stagnation accumulated from the mixed feelings of joy, sorrow, blessings, and hatred is not dealt with, it can lead to dark stagnation and eventually calamity.
Sure, Yohane wants to do her own thing, but by befriending Mari, maybe Yohane will stick around. At least Mari gave her a parting gift as Yohane ponders how many friends she made and what to make out from the information Mari gave her. Either way, Yohane meets the two remaining girls that aren’t introduced yet. Yes, they are You and Kanan. I wonder if Sarah and Leah, from Saint Snow, will eventually show up at some point too.
This episode solidified this as one of the best spinoffs ever made and best anime ever. Honestly that’s all I have to say. Bleeping fantastic.
Agreed, the fight scene was so good, and of course the music too.
