Koyuzu seems to have an assignment, but is it really, or is she feeling lonely? Also, Elda has a bad dream involving being lured out of the house and realizes people will make fun of her long ears. It obviously indicates what Koito will try to get her to do.
In the first segment, it’s interesting how Koyuzu gets the fish for the meals she makes for Elda and Koito. Yep, she is a savvy shopper despite being young. Of course, one of the male workers said she shouldn’t be there. Yep, he underestimated her business and cute looks that she puts adults to shame, as the lady said.
With that, Koyuzu noticed that her older sister, Koito was very busy preparing for an event during the holidays. So the next day, Koito actually fabricated a research project, and she wanted to ask her grandparents what kind of games they played during the old days.
Since Grandpa isn’t there, Koyuzu can always ask Elda. After all, she is over 600 years old, so it fits. It’s nice to learn what people played ikanobori. When the Shogunate banned those “flying squid” kites since they got too popular, which is what is ikanobori, they simply called it Takoage (flying octopus).
I find it funny how Koito hearing this from Elda makes her think Elda is a real old-fashioned Tokyoite. The funny thing is that there is a flashback when Elda opens a can of Monster Energy drink instead of Red Bull. Did energy drink companies pay money for product placement in this show?
She also talks about dolls and mentions girls played house back then too. I find it funny how when Koito and Koyuzu played house, they made rice dumplings and other food. She also brings out the origami paper, and they did origami as well, as Elda brags about her creations.
Eventually, Elda made a bubble solution as they blew soap bubbles outside. They did this back in the day but using other materials. As expected, Elda and Koito are bad at blowing bubbles from straws, but Koyuzu did it well. That is when Koyuzu eventually admitted that she fabricated the research project since she wanted to play with Koito and noticed how busy she was. Either way, seeing a heartwarming moment with Koito and Koyuzu is nice.
In the second half, it’s funny to see Elda’s nightmare. She is lured out with rare frog tank collectibles. Elda eventually arrives at Shibuya and panics as fashionable people will make fun of her long ears. That is until she wakes up, and Koito says people won’t make it by Elda’s ears. With that, Elda wants to win the gold frog tank in a lottery. Koito knew that Elda wanted this toy, so she gave her a stamp sheet.
I find it funny how Elda insists Koito fill it out, but she wants to take her out of the house. No wonder she said that the stamp sheet, when filled, isn’t transferable. Also, it’s funny how Elda attempted to use her shrine stamp, but it’s evident that Koito wants to take Elda out of the house. After all, she hopes Elda will win the Hawaii trip, although Elda intends to win that golden frog tank toy.
As expected, when Koito and Elda went out, Elda wore a hair scarf and a gas mask with goggles. Yep, she wanted to hide her identity, but people already recognized her given her clothes and hair. Still, it’s nice to see you go to various shops, eat different foods, and collect stamps.
She eventually went to the monjya shop, which seems closed. Kado saw Elda, and Koito wondered why the shop was closed. It’s because Akane decided to drink her sorrows away since she is stressed out. She has an entirely different personality than her strict one when sober. When Koito points out that Akane and Kado have been best friends since junior high, they get annoyed.
The funny thing is that Akane had that frog toy. But, of course, Koito did the pull and won it anyway. Kado begs the lottery staff to put only black balls to make their deity happy. But, of course, they always did it since Elda worked so hard to fill out the stamp card. Either way, Elda seems pleased with the end result, which is good with some bonding time with Koito.

Koyuzu fans ate well this episode.
If my back weren’t in pain I’d have laughed my ass off at Elda’s Monster Energy joke.
I ship Kadoi X Dr Akane.
Yep, Koyuzu is a precious cinnamon bun, but it’s nice to see her having some bonding time with Koito.
Seeing Elda with a can of Monster Energy is hilarious, but I wasn’t expecting product placement from another energy drink company besides Red Bull.
