Otori Kokona was trying to pass an audition to become a World Dai Star. Still, she feels a bit down getting rejected the first time. So is the second attempt the charm?
As expected, while there are part works such as Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight and Kageki Shoujo that did their take on Takarazuka Revue, this might be another. It does kind of give me the feeling of this. Still, I wonder what brings the show will have with the famous female troupe, Sirius and the potential yuri pairings.
With that, Kokona dreams of becoming a Dair Star, dancing, acting, and singing on stage. Sadly, her first audition didn’t go so well. Still, it’s nice to see her friend, Shizuka, who helped make her dream come true and is already skilled at acting. She helped train her best friend, but is it enough to pass the audition. Shizuzka thinks Kokona can pull it off as she rehearses and prepares for this moment. This makes me wonder if Kokona and Shizuka might make an excellent pairing.
After arriving in Tokyo, they meet a blonde hair girl named Kathrina, who acts like a tsundere. She seems to be heading to Asakusa, the same place Kokona is heading. The funny thing is that Kokona greeted Kathrina in several languages, wondering what she spoke. Kathrina appears that she can communicate in German and Japanese. I agree with Shizuka. Kathrina has a rotten personality like most tsundere. Can Kokona defrost her eventually? Only time can tell.
The funny thing is that after Kokona left the train station and headed to Asakusa, Kathrina wanted to lead to the place alone. The funny thing is that Kokona and Shizuka were heading to the same place Kathrina was heading. So, yes, it’s the Sirius Theater, meaning Kathrina and Kokona are auditioning.
As for the audition itself, most, if not all, the participants couldn’t stand a chance against Hiiragi Noa, the VP of the Sirius troupe. Given her acting skills by doing her part as the Sea Witch while the participants did the mermaid part, most did not make the cut. So instead, we see Kathrina using her senses and eventually nailing the performance.
As for Kokona, she becomes anxious as she feels that she can’t do the same as Katrina did. That is when Shizuka reassures her that everything will be fine. However, Kotona believes that she can’t do it without sense. Thankfully, she got saved by Niizume Yae, a Sirius member coming up on stage.
Instead of doing the same scene as everyone else, Kokona does the stage as the prince, with Yae being the mermaid for the marriage proposal scene. Somehow, Kokona manages to pull off a good performance. In addition, Yae is less intimidating than Noa, which isn’t surprising given her stage-acting experience and being VP of the Sirius troupe.
While Kokona isn’t confident that she passed the audition, the old lady, who I assume manages the troupe wonders about her performance. After all, it doesn’t seem like she takes on the prince. It makes you wonder if Kokona could copy someone else’s performance. Still, while we know that Kathrina will get through, will Kokona too? We’ll see next time.

The twist was surprising and made me more intrigued. Really like the presentation and style too.
If Shizuka is indeed a ghost then you know it won’t stop cultured people. Not the first time there has been a ghost yuri story. We shall see what the truth is over time.
Since you mentioned it, I did look at that scene and Shizuka is really not there. It makes this a bit more intriguing of who she actually is. It should be interesting to learn more about her next time.
