Finally, the second hype Yuri show of the year is here as Shiraki Hime, a cute high school girl, is forced to work at an all-girls boarding school-themed café. Yes, after that unfortunate accident when she fell down the stairs.
Shiraki Hime looks like a sweet princess with the façade she puts on by acting cute and friendly. Yes, she takes on having the cutest appearance to marry someone rich someday. As expected, Hime wants to become a gold digger. Therefore, she rejects all the boys in her class who are big fans of her cuteness. Her female classmates defend her against them too. In reality, her cute personality is just a façade, and she is not actually like this.
Sadly, her image is at risk when she accidentally trips on the stairs and lands on a young lady called Mai. Mai’s friend, Sumika, who dresses like a gyaru, wondered what happened to Mai. Yep, she didn’t take too kindly to Hime, trying to escape responsibility.
She works at an all-boarding school called Café Liebe to protect her image. The setting is basically a girls’ boarding school. When Hime sees Mitsuki, her alternate name being Ayanokouji, she becomes amazed by her. It’s like she is the perfect older sister.
While Mai gave a brief introduction to the setting by saying it’s like a shojo manga. The thing is, Hime didn’t know it was more like a Class-S yuri-genre manga. We see Sumika in her alternate personality, taking the role of acting closely with Mitsuki. Yep, the audience takes that up quickly, which makes me wonder if they are Yurifans too.
Of course, Hime didn’t know what to do after Sumika brought her in as she tried to escape. Yep, she scared her by quietly saying that she couldn’t wiggle her way out of this. Now, Hime needs to do her part. As expected, she addresses Mitsuki as the older sister without knowing what this means in the Yuri genre. That is after she told Hime to put more effort into her acting. After Hime tried to step it up with her self-introduction. Yep, Mitsuki was really upset and hated Hime’s guts. Hime became surprised by how to mean Mitsuki acted outside of work.
Mai tries to clear things up the next day. Unfortunately, that is after the audience is already talking about it. Yep, Mai whips out the “Schwester” thing meaning sister. While I haven’t watched Maria-sama ga Miteru, this“Schwester” thing reminds me of the “Schutzengel” thing from Assault Lily. It’s practically the same thing. Considering that Hime let the cat out of the bag, Mai thought this was the best so they won’t disappoint their guests. Mai even mentions the older sister fixing the little sister’s outfit. Mitsuki doesn’t want to do it, but they will have to since the audience wants it.
As Hime puts on the outfit, she remembers nobody wanting to be friends since she acted fake during elementary school. Now, she wants to show them she can pull it off and have everyone choose her. Of course, Hime did with her grand entrance of getting Mitsuki to notice her in the act. As expected, Mitsuki brushed it off. However, Hime is not giving up and complains about Mitsuki. That is when Mitsuki comes to calm her down while Sumika thinks she is getting carried away.
When Hime asks about the Schutzengel thing, Mitsuki rejects it but can’t since she will disappoint the audience. So, she fixed Hime’s bow and accepted it. That is when Mitsuki whispers in Hime’s ear that she hates her guts and then smiles at her. Yep, their personalities behind the façade seem a bit too similar. While opposites attract, the same characters do not unless Hime can defrost her. We’ll find out, sure enough. Although, to be fair, some misunderstandings could have been avoided if Hime knew some things about Yuri.

Good start with interesting relationship dynamics. Excited to see how they all unfold.
Yes, it should be interesting to see how Hime’s relationship with Mitsuki will grow from here. At some point, Mitsuki is going to defrost.
But yes, it’s not really Hime’s fault given that they didn’t explain the sisters thing to her.
