With the year almost over, it’s time to look at what I plan to watch in the winter. I will also go over some plans for this blog. Also, I will share the reason why I stopped posting anything besides blog posts on Twitter.
As always, this list is subject to change
Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei
Studio: Diomedea
Air Date: January 4, 2023
At last, it’s nice to see another isekai yuri, the first of the many yuri-genre anime adaptations in 2023. Like with Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road, It’s nice to see another Isekai that does not have a male lead and has yuri. This one focuses on a princess named Anisphia, who got reincarnated from her previous life and had her memories and love for magic.
She witnesses a scene of her brother breaking his engagement to Euphyllia due to a magical mishap. With Euphyllia losing her title, Anisphia decides to offer a place for her to stay and help her restore her name. Either way, it should be interesting to see how their relationship will play out in this one.
D4DJ All Mix
Studio: Sanzigen
Air Date: January 2023
Yes, I hadn’t finished the first season because I had too many shows to watch when it aired back in 2020. Also, it aired a few weeks late, but I plan to finish all the episodes during the holiday break. So all I know is the animation is done in CG, which reminds me of the second and third seasons of Bang Dream.
Mou Ippon!
Studio: Bakken Record
Air Date: January 2023
Not much to say about this, but it’s school girls doing judo, after all.
Other shows in consideration for the 4th show I might plan to cover are Rougo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-Man-Mai no Kinka o Tamemasu and Ayakashi Triangle. Either way, it’s a pretty bare season considering that the second half of Birdie Wing got delayed until Spring. That makes Spring a packed season, as expected. It is what it is, I guess. I will also be watching Nagatoro Second Season. However, that will not get covered on the blog (review only) since it’s not a schoolgirl, all-female cast, or yuri anime.
Life Updates or Why I (mostly) stopped posting on Twitter
You might be wondering why I mostly stopped posting on Twitter. I thought the site would collapse since 75% of the workers quit little over two weeks ago. Sure, the site is slowly breaking, but I think Twitter will probably be dead, if not by the end of this year or early next year.
It has really become a hell site. After Space Karen unbanned many accounts, including TFG, the amount of hate speech and misinformation, I just can’t in good conscience post anything on Twitter besides the bare minimum. Why should I post stuff on a site that allows users to post antisemitic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and other hateful content, allow users to harass others and condone Nazism? Look no closer to the debacle of SpaceKaren letting Ye back onto Twitter. He promptly started spewing Nazi crap and got banned shortly after.
Twitter has banned "I'm in Love With the Villainess" creator inori's account over a joke comment made with friends in a space, Inori-sensei reported in her weekly Pixiv blog.

Update: Oh yeah, it gets even worse as seen in the tweet above, Twitter really banned Inori, who is the author of “I’m in Love with the Villainess” just got banned over a joke. Yep, there is no “free speech,” except for the alt-right idiots, SpaceKaren bootlickers, and extremists. Twitter has officially gone to s-word and this is a good reason to leave Twitter for good and use alternatives.
While I thought about staying on Twitter to make SpaceKaren lose money, I just can’t support the normalization of hate speech, harassment, and misinformation. You shouldn’t either.
Most rational people should think the same, choose another platform and leave Twitter to rot. Twitter under Space Karen is basically 4chan and 8chan, the true cesspools of hate. If more people go to other platforms not controlled by big corporations like the Fediverse, blogs, and internet forums, the better off society is. That is why I shifted most of my social activity to my blog, Mastodon, and even started posting a few things on Tumblr.
Moving to the Fediverse has a learning curve, as nobody wants to start fresh. If you start now, you can get others on there. I can help if you are having trouble. I knew that Space Karen buying Twitter would end up in disaster. Therefore I created my own Mastodon instance and community, Sakurajima, for Anime Bloggers/Creators and anyone part of the Anime Twitter community as an alternative to the hell site. We have grown close to 50 members as people try to flee Twitter or as a backup when Twitter eventually collapses.
I know Misskey is probably easier to use than Mastodon since it looks like Twitter with a better interface. However, I decided to go with Mastodon since it supports more applications and clients. If there is a demand for it, I can make it happen.
I admit that since I am participating less on Twitter, I feel a bit better. Yes, mostly because I don’t have to see unpleasant tweets and being far removed from the Twitter drama. That is why people who are reluctant to make the switch should give Mastodon a try. Also, it’s now possible to set up an auto share of your blog posts using Mastofeed if setting up Mastodon Auto Post is too tricky.
Aside from that, I plan to have my 12 days of Yuri pairings for this year up by Christmas Day, hopefully, along with year-end posts. I also have my character design for my OG character for this blog done. I plan to start commissioning art for that in early 2023. More details are coming soon.
Either way, feel free to share what you plan to watch in the comments.
