After finishing the world tour in Liberon, Ellie receives news that Gallia is liberated. With that comes the public appearances and eventually visiting her homeland. Of course, she finds clues about Moffy, which Ginny was looking for.
As predicted, it seems that Luminous Witches’ being treated as celebrities didn’t stop just in Liberon. But, of course, it’s not surprising since the girls are helping the war effort by entertaining people with music.
As expected, they had a music recording session and many public appearances. Not only that, Ellie made a speech, and she obviously depended on the cue cards since, well, she just got back. Like the rest of the girls, she was tired after all the public appearances. But at least they are back in Britannica.
From this, it’s evident that Luminous Witches will eventually perform at a commemorative ceremony after Gallia’s liberation. Ellie notices that Rio is fighting with Moffy or licking her from this. Apparently, Ginny is checking on the strikers.
Still, Ginny feels disappointed that she couldn’t find Moffy’s ancestors. She is afraid that Moffy will lose the ability to fly. However, giving up Moffy means Ginny is no longer a witch and can’t perform with her friends. Then again, there is a reason Moffy came to Ginny. After Ellie to Ginny, she gains the courage to return to Gallia.
Then again, this might be a blessing in surprise. After all, Ginny used her powers to notify the 503rd squadron about the approaching Neuroi. Grace received news about the Royal Air Force wanting Ginny. Still, hopefully, Felicia will help Grace to delay this or cancel it.
We see a nice flashback of Ellie when she left her hometown when Neuroi invaded Gallia. That is after seeing Paris in ruins and seeing an image of the cat she used to play with. When she was a child, she found some kittens with her friends. She became friends with a particular cat but couldn’t take it during the evacuation. It’s understandable, given the attachment she grew with it, and anyone will feel this way about their pet.
While working as a nurse, she treated Aira until she could see Aira’s familiar, a white wolf. Then, somehow, she saw a cat named Rio, and he created a contract with Ellie. But unfortunately, it was too late for Ellie to go on the front lines, even if she wanted to. At least she had a new replacement until she visited her hometown.
Meanwhile, Ginny is feeling down about Moffy, and Inori notices. Of course, Aira knows about the transfer orders for Ginny, but this may not even matter to what happens next.
After Ellie visited her hometown, it brought her back memories of her childhood. She notices wildlife is returning until she finds a black swan. Rio starts to act weird as he gives Ellie Moffy’s feather.
Yep, she finds out the black swan is related to Moffy as it flew back to Brittanica. After Ellie gives a feather of that swan, Ginny gives it to Moffy, and she directs Ginny to the flock of black swans. Sure, it’s a heartwarming moment, but bittersweet as Ginny has to say goodbye to Moffy. While this means she won’t get transferred, Ginny’s days of performing with Luminous Witches are over. After all, without the witches’ powers, she can’t really perform, which makes me wonder what will happen to Inori. She only joined because of Ginny.
Well, I feel it might not be goodbye forever for Moffy. After all, she picked Ginny. She might start missing her and want to reunite with her when Ginny needs her. At least now, Moffy will be stronger if she comes back eventually, probably in her usual form. We’ll find out in the last two episodes.
