With LycoReco now closed, Chisato decides to go out and save Yoshi. But, of course, Kurumi had a breakthrough. With that, she chose to not leave Japan as she called Mizuki back. What does this entail?
As expected, it may be the last time Mizuki and Kurumi will be with each other. However, I must admit that they make an entertaining pairing besides Chisato and Takina. I find it funny how Kurumi gets the first-class seat while Mizuki gets the coach seat. This is what I like about the pairing. It reminds me a lot of Sumire and Keke’s relationship and the endless teasing of each other.
That said, Kurumi, while waiting on the airplane, had her VR set on as she investigated the area where Yoshi got the heart from. From deep analysis, she investigated who created the heart and saw Yoshi made a deal with the first one. After speeding up 10 years later, she discovers that Yoshi has prepared a second heart. This makes sense as Yoshi’s secretary wouldn’t have destroyed Chisato’s existing heart, unethical it might be without having a second one prepared.
Either way, Kurumi has a eureka moment as she gets off the plane and tries to get Mizuki off. I find it funny how the attendant says that Mizuki has a “daughter separated at birth” waiting for her.
Meanwhile, Takina receives the news from Kurumi and decides to check on LycoReco. She finds out the place is empty, and Chisato leaves her phone behind. Somehow, she took it as she received more news and decided to save Chisato as her team climbed the stairs up the tower. Sure, Fuki makes a big deal about Takina disobeying orders again, but thankfully Erika has Takina’s back. They probably know that Chisato means everything to Takina now. Somehow, it seems that this time, they will just cover for her. Then again, it might not batter, given the trap Majima sets up.
As expected, the new tower was a trap Majima set up as he hijacked the system with Robota’s help to reveal the existence of the DA and have regular people go against them. So yes, he wants to stage an insurrection against the Japanese government and turn the country into an anarchy. Still, I think it’s apparent that Yoshi granted powers to Majima, so Chisato would have to kill him to end the chaos.
Of course, Majima wants to cause chaos and has no real ideology. It looks like the government of Japan will have some explaining to do, and probably some heads will roll in the higher positions once this is over. After all, there is a lot of incompetence in the DA. For instance, their important AI system lacks the security it needs. Still, highly doubt Majima’s message will catch on because bad guys will always do bad things. The question is, can Kurumi stop Robota and expose him?
As expected, Majima was in the old radio tower. It’s a fitting place as this is where Chisato faced him off the first time. Chisato manages to find Yoshi, but it seems she is not out of the woods to save Majima. She has a gunfight with Majima, which seems challenging as it appears given Majima’s heightened senses. Of course, you thought things were over for Chisato. Takina comes in after busting a hole in the metal barrier. Looks like Majima will have a hard time next time. Makes me wonder if Chisato will finally use the lethal shot on Majima. We’ll see for sure next time.
More badassery from our heroines.
It’s fitting Kurumi’s the one who brought herself and Mizuki back home thanks to (probably) crazy advanced fictional tech.
Takina’s return to her beloved’s side was fantastic. Excited for their battle against Majima.
Mr Yoshi is up to no good.
Not too surprising, but it’s nice to see Takina come in with a bang. Yes, it’s funny to see Kurumi try to bring Mizuki back, but I wonder how they will fare next time.
Yoshi is a bit sus, but obviously, Majima is plain evil. Hopefully he will get defeated soon.
