After missing the chance to pet the baby tiger and eat Shamiko’s cooking during their date outing, Momo feels that she is in the dumps. This causes her to transform into her Darkness Peach form. I wonder why?
As expected, Momo seemed to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. While she prepared breakfast, she noticed that Metako was acting strangely. After Momo realized this, she transformed into her Darkness Peach form, and Shamiko noticed. I find it funny how she has the sudden urge to rub Momo’s waist area again. Moreover, this episode reuses the same transformation animation. This is weird since Momo is wearing a different parka.
Momo transformed due to the Qi thing that Shirosawa and Lico want to deal with. Sadly, Momo didn’t eat the leaves that would have prevented this. Sadly, it’s too late, and Mikan’s shooting of Momo’s core didn’t work either since this happened because of Momo’s feelings. With Momo’s magic draining quickly in this form, there is a sense of urgency for her to revert. So, Shion ends up sharing the root cause, which lies with Momo’s feelings. Yes, she explained the balance thing that Shirosawa explained last time, except for the sensitivity part.
As for why Momo is feeling down, the reason is quite pathetic. She was upset over not being able to eat the lunch Shamiko had made. Thankfully, Shamiko had lunch in the refrigerator, although lacking in color. Still, it’s nice to see her feed Momo, and it worked. This shows how much Momo is hopelessly in love with Shamiko. Not to mention, Shion is now living in the attic of the apartment building.
With Momo’s magic drained, Shion points her to a spring that Sakura owns. Momo and Shamiko go there. Yes, the water there has the particular property of healing magical girls. I find it interesting that it’s located at the last train stop that Shamiko went off after failing to get off. The spring had a fence around it with a sign Sakura made. Yes, she set up some fun but primarily harmless traps. The pitfall trap reminds me of the ones Team Rocket sets up. Of course, Momo falls into all the traps while Shamiko is unharmed. I feel that Sakura set them up so that they activate for Momo to give her a challenge.
Eventually, a robot-like familiar detects Shamiko and Momo, and it chases after them. They eventually went up a tree until Momo pointed out its weak point. Shamiko used her wand to use a knockoff version of Mikan’s attack, and it worked. She collected a gem, which she took a picture of. She hangs it around her neck as a necklace, just like Jahy did with the first mana crystal.
As for the spring, it’s just a waterfall. Momo stood under the waterfall, which seemed to have no effect. It was not until Shamiko started laughing at her and Momo splashed water that it worked. I guess happy thoughts activate the effects of the water. That means the water they bottled up for Shion is probably just regular water, or I can be wrong. The funny thing is Shion ends up snatching the gem Shamiko got. It didn’t last one episode. At least she had a photo of it. But from the looks of Shamiko’s wand in the preview, it seems Shamiko finally gets the power up she needs.
Darkness Peach’s return was worth the wait. Shamiko immediately wanted to relish her yummy tummy again. Cultured lass, she is.
Momo being the butt of jokes for once was nice to see. Shamiko’s too pure to be all “How do YOU like it!?”. Bless our heroines.
As expected Shamiko had nothing to worry about. Her first bento was all she needed to make her pink sweetie happy.
Not too surprising given how Shamiko reacted positively to Momo’s new form. Besides the tummy, I find it funny how Shamiko wondered what will happen if she untied the ribbon on Momo’s outfit.
The whole bento thing and Momo reacting to Shamiko laughing at her shows that she obviously has feelings for her. Hopefully someday she will be more open about it as Shamiko doesn’t seem to hold back her feelings anymore.
