Now that the joint School Idol Festival begins, it seems that Shioriko’s older sister, asks Shioriko about her childhood dream. That is after she saw Setsuna made the big reveal and perform with Ayumu and Shizuku. Yes, the dream to become a school idol. It becomes obvious what is her response to her response is.
After Shioriko saw AZUNA’s performance and seeing Nana/Setsuna make the big reveal, Mifune, Shioriko’s older sister finally asks her little sister that question.
Apparently, Shioriko had a dream of becoming a school idol like Mifune. However, we find out in a flashback that she was unable to pass the Love Live qualifiers after her third attempt. This left a bad taste in Shioriko’s mouth as she believes that Mifune is not suited to become one. Instead of dealing with the same fate as her older sister does, she would rather support them. The question is, will Shiriko regret not chasing after her dream when she can?
On the day of the first day, Nana saw that there are people in the student council supporting Setsuna. Yep, not too surprising to see this happen. Still, I find it funny how Rina and Kasumi with Shizuku tries to convince Mia to visit the festival. Yep, she was eating a lot of hamburgers. When they asked, Mia refuses since she doesn’t want to watch a bunch of amateurs. That is until Rina pulls out the coupons for the Shion burgers. Yep, she ends up giving in and Lanzhu becomes surprised that she came.
Yuu along with Setsuna, Ayumu and Ai met with the school idol unit from Shion Girls’ Academy that helped save the festival at the last minute. When Yuu notices the photo with Shioriko and Mifune, Mifune came up. Yep, she reveals that it was her and her little sister. She also shares her experiences being a school idol. While she made it to qualifiers, she let her sister down. Despite this, she believes that Shioriko has that dream alive.
Eventually, Setsuna runs into Shioriko after finding out this fact and tries to convince her to become one. Yep, her reaction is obvious as she doesn’t want to become one for some reason. She doesn’t want to experience the same feeling that Mifune did and the regret to go along with it. She would rather do something that suits her.
Sure, it’s very disappointing to not make it, but if you don’t try, you will never know. After all, it took Muse and Aqours another try to make it happen. As expected, Mifune runs into Shioriko and notices something wrong. Shiori hid it. We do find out that she reveals that she was a school idol to cheer little sister up ever since Lanzhu moved away.
While Shioriko during her childhood didn’t think she can become one, after a while, she strived to become one. As expected, the loss left a bad taste in her mouth. Thankfully, once the School Idol Club found out the reason why Shioriko doesn’t want to become one, Yuu feels that Shioriko’s reasons doesn’t add up.
Setsuna with her friends spent some time with Shioriko doing festival activities to clear her mind. They eventually took her to that place. Yes, the stage that Mifune performed on. Yuu knows this is where Shioriko’s dream started. Setsuna wants to support Shiorko to achieve her dreams. She shares the fact that she has her fans, school idol club, and the student council supporting her. After all, Shioriko did a lot to make the festival a success. Now, they believe that her dream can become true.
Sure, Shioriko witnessing her older sister crying was painful, Mifune managed to clear things up. She admits that she doesn’t regret doing it despite not making it since her little sister supported her along the way. That is what makes her happy.
At last, we also find out why Mifune become a student teacher to support her little sister besides her student. Yep, she is making it obvious that she has Shioriko’s back and she should make her dream become true. She did as she perform for the girls and promises to join the school. I guess this is a win and it’s only a matter of time until Mia and Lanzhu to join, right? Aside from that, it’s obvious that Setsuna is happy that Shioriko is willing to join.
Worth the wait.
Shioriko is best fang girl in anime. Kaoruko’s excellent too but Shioriko’s special. Her performance was so good!
Mia loves hamburgers because “Murica”. In all seriousness it’s a cute trait.
ShioZhu incoming? Hope so.
It’s obvious that Shioriko is holding back there, but it’s good that she finally find a resolve and chase her dream.
Maybe, probably when Lanzhu and Mia finally gives in, which will happen eventually.
