Yuuki, Chisa, Airi, and Yuzuha finally starts their training to become idols. Of course, Airi is struggling for some reason. I wonder why?
From last time, Haruna finds out from Rio that she will voice Student A. Of course, that is not the only roles she has. She has a bunch of them to voice. I guess they find her voice versatile enough to cover all those roles. Either way, it’s obvious that Haruna isn’t just going to voice a few lines and be done with it.
Aside from that, Rio shows Yuuki, Chisa, Airi, Yuzuha, Haruna, Maika, Honoka and Shino the new dorms. Yep, it’s well equipped all right. Not to mention, each girl has their own bedroom. From this, I expect some nice moments of them being together.
With that, the Vogel group finally meets with Masaki with their first set of assignments. Yuuki, Chisa, Airi, and Yuzuha picked the characters they want to be. Yep, the whole premise is idols coming from the future to the past to save their future. Of course, Kirika will train them, and she is serious. If the girls don’t keep up, she will give up on them.
As expected, this becomes a problem since Airi struggles to keep up with the other girls with the dance moves. The reason she is struggling is not just because of her timid personality but relying on fortunes.
Of course, she gets bad luck most of the time and believes them instead of proving it wrong. She dresses weirdly and at one point, have a lot of good luck charms under her jacket. She is believing the fortune instead of defining her own destiny. It’s becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy of failure as she doesn’t believe in herself.
It’s obvious that Airi is not showing any progress. With that, Kirika decides to fail the girls as she feels that they aren’t taking the lessons seriously. Sure, Yuuki, Chisa, and Yuzuha aren’t having issues, there is something that holding Airi back. While Yuuki asked for advice from Misaki, she mentions that it may not just be Airi, and suggests Yuuki to change herself. No, not into a robot as she does the next day, but perhaps some team building exercises?
Eventually, Yuuki got the idea to make some inari sushi to help strengthen their bonds. she remembered the time that they decided to join the Vogel party and believe fate brought them there to Airi. Before Airi tried to apologize for being useless, Yuki, Chisa, and Yuzuha interrupted each other and started eating. Of course, Airi didn’t think much of it as their bonds improve.
The next day, Airi was able to do the dance moves without trouble. It’s apparent that Kirika haven’t given up on them yet. I guess Airi realizes that she shouldn’t let fortunes dictate destiny as she is in control to change it. With her friends by her side, she feels that she can make it. Hopefully luck will be on their side this time.
Haruna voicing more than one background character is pretty good for a first gig.
Airi learned to rely more on the power of friendship and teamwork and less on fortunes. Good for her.
Yuuki’s technically the leader of the group so it’s good she’s learning to help them and herself.
I guess it’s better than what Suzuka got when she started. But yes, Airi needs to focus less on the fortunes and more on working with her friends of course. I agree that Yuuki really knows how to bring her friends together and hopefully she will get better.
