With 2021 finally ending, it’s time to look at some of the shows I plan to watch in Winter 2022. As always, this list is subject to change.
Slow Loop
Studio: Connect
Airdate: January 7, 2022
It’s been a while since a Manga Time Kirara anime adaptation has aired. Well, the wait is finally over as this one focuses on Hiyori who enjoys fishing. She eventually meets Koharu, her new stepsister. From this, I have a feeling that this show will be like Houkago Teibou Nisshi, but a lot less tormenting and with more cute and funny moments.
CUE!
Studio: Yumeta Company and Graphinica
Airdate: January 7, 2022
While I haven’t watched shows that focused on seiyuus such as Sora ga Seiyuu, this show has a similar premise. It’s apparently based on a voice actress raising game of the same name, but the game shutdown temporarily since the game had quality issues to fix. Still, it makes me wonder how the anime will handle the overall premise of the game. With such a big cast, it feels like an idol anime. We’ll find out soon enough.
Akebi-chan no Sailor Fuku
Studio: CloverWorks
Airdate: January 9, 2022
This of course feels like the typical schoolgirl anime, which should be fun. As expected, Komichi Akebi starts her first day of junior high and she looks forward to wearing her Robai Private Academy’s sailor uniform. She dreams of doing school activates and make a lot of friends with her favorite outfit on, of course.
Girls’ Frontline
Studio: Asahi Production
Airdate: January 7, 2022
As expected, this is an adaption of a popular Chinese mobile game. Just like Azur Lane, the girls are basically named after guns. Still, quite curious how the show will turn out compared to the game.
Sorairo Utility
Studio: Yostar Pictures
Airdate: December 31, 2021
The premise of this show is simple. Minami and her two friends, Haruka, and Ayaka introduce and enjoy playing golf together. Since this is a short lasting only 14 minutes, I am not sure if I will cover this or review it once I finish it. We’ll see.
With that, this is what I plan to watch this winter. Feel free to share what shows you are planning to watch this season in the comments. As expected, since most of the shows air on the same day, Tuesday, I will spread out the coverage throughout the week.
Out of the animes listed the one that sounds most appealing to me is Akebi-chan no Sailor Fuku. It sounds like a wholesome series that could offer some nice feels. Going forward I need to be more selective with the animes as the current theme I got going is making the end of season crunch a major b*tch to get through. Perhaps I shouldn’t review every series I watch!
Even covering 5 shows is a bit too much, but it’s only manageable now since I am working at home. Still, don’t force yourself to review everything you watch.
As always most/all of your picks are on my watch list too. Let’s have a fun time watching and covering them, yes.
Hopefully the picks for this season will be enjoyable to watch.
